Applejack and Rainbow Dash have been best friends for a few years now.
And as the mane 7 are getting ready for the big dance, Applejack starts to feel nervous around Rainbow Dash.
Could it be that Aj caught feelings for her best friend?
Just then...
Once class finished up, Rainbow got out of her seat and pushed in her chair. She walked over to the door, suddenly she felt someone grab her shoulder, she turned around to see who it was only to see Applejack with her arm reached out.
Rd: " uhh.. hey Aj. " Rainbow scratched the back of her head, confused in why her cowgirl friend was touching her shoulder. Applejack then pulled the athlete into a tight hug, this only made Rainbow even more confused but she hugged her back.
Aj: " Ah'm so sorry that they called yer parents Rainbow. " Applejack sincerely said while rubbing Rainbows back as they were in each other's arms.
Rd: " it's fine Applejack, you don't have to be sorry, It's not your fault. " She nervously replied while pulling from the hug " oh yeah, when I get home I'll text you to tell ya if I can still go to that dance. " she added.
Aj: " Hopefully ya can, if yer not goin' ah'm probably not goin' either. " Aj explained to her rainbow-haired friend.
Rainbow looked confused in why the cowgirl wouldn't attend the dance if she wasn't going, " ehh. Why? " she questioned the farmer. Applejack was blushing over embarrassment when she realized that she made it sound like she had feelings for Rainbow but then she finally spoke up.
Aj: " well, Rarity is probably gonna be with her fancy friends. Pinkie is gonna be with her boyfriend, Fluttershy with mah brother, Twi and Sunset. And then Ah was just planning that we'd hangout as friends there, and if yuh don't go then Ah'll be all alone and it'd be awkward. " Applejack admitted while putting her hands on her hips and just stared at the athlete that was beginning to understand her.
Rd: " Ah, alright. I'll text you if I am allowed to go. When even is it? " Rainbow was getting ready to leave the classroom, she picked up her bag and began to walk, Applejack followed.
Aj: " Uhh.. Ah think it's on Tuesday. Next Tuesday. " Applejack replied while she was holding the door open for her rainbow-haired friend.
Rd: " oh, alright. Well talk to ya later Applejack. " Rainbow and Applejack bid their goodbyes and walked separate ways to their other classes.
- after school - Once the school bell rang all the girls expect Twilight and Sunset walked out of the building. They all were asking themselves where the two were.
F: " Where are they? Do any of you know? " the shy one spoke up after a few minutes of the girls silently thinking to themselves. They all looked at her which made her a little shy, even though she knows each face.
R: " No darling, we haven't. If we have we would've gone and get them. " Rarity replied to shy girl, she was sitting on a bench looking into a flip mirror fixing her hair.
P: " Well they better hurry up, Gummy can't be home alone for more than an hour. " Pinkie complained while laying on her back on the ground kicking her legs around.
Aj: " Pinkie, yah do realize we're in school for a whole 6-7 hours. Isn't he home alone for all those hours as well? " Aj asked the party planner looking extremely confused.
P: " you wouldn't understand! " She got up and started walking off " tell them I said hi, then I said bye!! See ya girls! " she added before hopping off to sugar cube corner.
F: " yeah, I'm gonna head out as well. Me and Big Mac are walking home together and I see him waiting over there for me. " Fluttershy then spoke up again as she pointed over to her boyfriend, everyone bid their goodbyes with Fluttershy.
R: " she's so lucky to have someone as handsome as Big Mac. " Rarity admired Applejacks brother from a far.
Aj: " can yah not call mah brother handsome? " Aj jokingly gagged.
Rd: " Bahaha, you find BIG MAC handsome?! " She laughed, she was laughing so hard that tears appeared in her magenta eyes.
Rarity looked somewhat annoyed and confused, Applejack was holding in her laughter.
R: " He is! Anyways I got to go. Sunset and Twilight are taking too long for me to wait here in the sun. Before you know it my hair products are gonna melt off my head! " she complained as she got up off the bench and started getting her bags and walked off after bidding her goodbyes.
Aj: " well, shouldn't you be headin' home as well? Aren't ya in trouble. " Aj asked the athlete trying her best not to sound like she didn't want her there.
Rd: " yeah, I should be haha, thanks. I'll see ya later, alright? " she replied while getting up off the ground and grabbing her bag and started to walk off.
Aj: " See ya Rainbow! " she waved to her friend. And took out her phone to text a group chat that only has herself, Twilight and Sunset in it.
Applejack then put her phone away and began to walk to her farm. Once she arrived back her farm she opened the barn doors and walked inside revealing the horses and the pig. She got a carrot from out of bag and fed it to her horse she then fed the pig a carrot then walked out of the farm and went inside to her house house, she ran to her room and jumped onto the bed and opened her phone up and went onto Instagram.
When she opened Instagram her whole face went red when she saw the picture of her Rainbow-haired friend on the beach.

She couldn't stop blushing and she didn't know why, she knew she didn't like Rainbow. But why was she blushing? She needed to know.
She immediately got off Instagram and ran to the mirror to see her face red as hell, she didn't know if it was because of embarrassment or if she actually had feelings for her, suddenly she got a text,
