I watched Calum as he swings his hands over the bimbo’s shoulder and stalks away. A never ending waterfall of tears plunges down my pale face.  I stood up with a little more pride and angrily search for my phone in my bag and dial Yasmin.

“Yasmin, can you please pick me up,” I hiccup

“Oh shit no, Cass, I’ll be right there,” Yasmin answers and hangs up.

I stumble out of the toilet and into the main hall. I could see from the corner of my eye Calum and the blonde but I chose to look forward to the lift. I hear Calum’s laugh dying down as the lift door closes. I hastily wipe my tears and tried to compose myself before going out.

I head to the coffee shop and couldn’t stop to think about how this is basically how Calum and I started out.

"I got the job!" I say bluntly into the phone, don't know whether I should be glad that i got the job or be scared that i might get raped.

"YAY!" Yasmin screams causing me to wince and remove the phone from my ears.

"You seem more excited than i am," i chuckled.

"Of course I mean you're working for this multimillionaire company that can pay for our rent and you have a very fucking hot boss who you will eventually end up shagging and pleasing your not-so-sexually-  vagina,"

"I hate you, why are you even my best friend and plus I am very sexually active, thank you. I do not need a guy that hires prostitute and rubs his hands up your thighs shagging me. Plus he's not even that hot," i scoffed and turn my head to a person coughing loudly next to me. Fuck me, it’s Mr. Hood who probably heard every fucking thing i said.

"Hello again, Miss. Joes, fancy seeing you here talking bullshit about how I'm not attractive. I know you lie," he smirks making me die on the spot of embarrassment.
My fingers stumbled across the hang up button and I tried to compose myself as much as possible.

"I don't know what you're talking about Mr. Hood," i smiled sweetly, hoping he would just leave.

"I'm pretty sure you do and anyways since i already hired you, I need you to meet me at 5389 4th Ave, 76th street at exactly 7 pm. Don't let me down Miss. Joes," he said smugly and walked to his slick black Rolls Royce.

-

I hailed a cab and tried sit comfortably but i mean It’s not going to happen with my extremely tight pencil skirt and a tight crop that i especially put on.
I reached in about 15 minutes to find a very formal yet cute restaurant. I figured it was where Mr. Hood wanted me to meet him so i went in. The restaurant was actually the definition of perfection. It had quiet jazz music playing while the lights were provided by these cute fairy lights making the restaurant quite dim. There were little vintage booths and it was decorated by different types of beautiful flowers. There was also a balcony looking over the river.
My phone buzzed with a text from a unknown number.

"Meet me by the balcony."

It was probably Mr. Hood so i did what i was told and walked over to the balcony to see Mr. Hood scrolling down his phone on a cute little table right by the river. I was a bit taken a back to why we were in what seemed to be an expensive restaurant and only 2 of us.

"Greetings Mr. Hood," I startled him.

"Oh hello Miss. Joes, uh oh 2 minutes late, Not a good start," he laughs.

"Sorry," I said not looking slightly sorry.

"Apology excepted, by the way, since you were so late i ordered for both of us already so just sit and relax,"

"Why am I here Mr.Hood, this is clearly not business," I huffed earning and glare from him.

"You do what I say Miss. Joes, everything is business for me so don't worry. So tell me about yourself, what’s your story,"

"There's not much to me really. Born in Arizona, left there, and moved to loads of different places and boom here I am in DC."

"You and I both know that’s not it. Everyone has a story Miss. Joes, it's just depends if it'll be good one or not."

"Mine is a bad one trust me," i sighed. He clicks his teeth and smiled.

"I'm sure you don't Miss Joes. I wouldn't have told you to come here tonight if you have a bad story. You fascinate me and you're alluring, do you know that?"

"You allure me too, Mr. Hood. You're not who I assumed you'd be."

"Don't judge me by my reputation. You'd be surprised."
