"Me? Alright. Which one do you want me to start with?"

"Just give me a date or a topic or something"
"First love"
"Noah, spring of 2001, 1st grade"
"Alright Brite, go on with your story"

"So what did you want to tell me?"

He looked a little nervous, why would he? We are such good friends we just spent the entire day together playing at the party. We had so much fun! The party is almost over though, I really wanted it to last longer
I still don't understand why he's nervous, we tell each other everything!

"Did you have fun?"
"Yeah is that what you wanted to tell me?"
"Uh yeah"

That's definitely not what he wanted to tell me

"Quit lying, you wouldn't be nervous about asking if I had fun. I can tell you're nervous Noah, it's cute tho"
"C-cute?"
"Yeah. So, what did you want to tell me?"
"Alright so. Brite, I really enjoy myself when I'm with you, and we'll, I think you are very pretty so I wanted to say..... I- I- I like you"

My heart stopped for a few seconds and then it started to beat super fast. I could feel my face turning red and tickles all over my body

He- he thinks I'm pretty?
He likes me?

The his voice cut my thoughts

"Brite! Brite!"
"Yeah"
"You ok? You froze"
"Yeah I'm fine why wouldn't I be?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to make this awkward you don't have to like me back that's ok, you've got a lot of boys chasing after you I understand if I'm not the one you like-"
"Noah, I like you too"

The expression on his face was the cutest thing I've ever seen. He seemed so, so happy

He started to look a little nervous again and before I could tell he planted a kiss on my cheek. Our eyes were locked on each other's
"Did you get lost in my eyes?" He joked
"Actually, I did"
He put a smile on his face and I started blushing even more than I already was. We broke eye contact as Noah looked to his right where two girls were standing, Chloe (Cameo) and Wilde.

They had a disgusted look on their face and they were mad, really mad. They gave me 'the look' and walked past us
Chloe whispered something in my ear as she pushed me with her shoulder
"You'll pay for this Brite Bomber"

What did she mean by that?

I got off the car and shut the door. I walked towards the school entrance and went to my locker. It was just a daily routine but... something felt odd today. I felt like everyone was staying at me as I walked down the hall, every time I made eye contact with someone they turned around to their friends and whispered
something in their ears

I unpacked and put my stuff away in my locker, then I walked to my classroom. Right as I opened the door, Sparkle turned around excitedly to look at me, stood up and screamed

"Oooo! Here comes lover girl!"

Lover girl?
Wait....
No... it can't be...

Sparkle knows?
I haven't seen her since Friday at school. And the Noah thing happened after school, how does she know?

Is that why I was getting weird stares?

Does that mean they know too?

Does the whole school knows know?

I walked towards Sparkle and asked what she meant by lover girl just in case I was wrong but she started speaking before I could even open my mouth

"Sooooo...."
"So what?"
"What do you mean what?!"
"Yeah, what?"
"After school? Noah? You?"
"What about it?"
"Don't act stupid! We all know!"
"Know what?"
"Oh Brite, are you lying to your best friend?"

She was right, I am lying because I knew exactly what she was talking about. But I didn't want to admit it.

"No...."
"Brite!"
"Ok fine fine fine! But don't say it out loud! Keep it private please!"
"Oh that's too late"

What do you mean late...

"Wh- what do you mean by late?"
"Brite, you know the whole school knows, right?"

"Brite? You good?"

I looked back at Sparkle, you could tell she knew I wasn't good

"I- I don't... know"
"I know how you feel right now, it's hard to be here when you have so many eyes staring at you everywhere you go but I'm going to be honest with you"

Honest? What is she going to tell me?

"Don't worry about it"
"Wh- what do you mean?"
"I mean take advantage of it. I'm not telling you to ignore it, I'm telling you to take advantage of that and make the best out of it. Don't look at it as a bad thing, look at it as an opportunity"

I was hella confused at this point. I had no idea how this could be something good

What did she mean by "take advantage of it"?
This is an opportunity to what?

"I'm sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about"
"Ok let me just get this straight. Brite, every girl in this school wants to be you. And every boy wants to date you. Be a role model and show them how it's done. Show them you don't care about the stares and ignore all the girls that are jealous about you and Noah because we all know all the girls would die for dating Noah "
"Wait, people are jealous of me and Noah?"
"Seriously? Oh Brite oh Brite, what would you do without me "
"So you're saying everyone is fighting over Noah and I?"
"EXACTLY! That is why you and Noah both need to show the school you guys are meant for each other and she then what a good couple is like"
"So Noah and I should show everyone how a healthy couple would look like"
"The best couple yes. Oh before I forget, most rumors are good but not all of them are so-"
"I know. It's ok. Thank you Sparkle"
"Anything for you Brite"

"I started ignoring all the hate I got from the 'mean girls' and was very confident, well, tried to be"
"Tried to be?"
"Yeah, you know me Drift, your my boyfriend. I've never been that confident"
"You should be though. Your perfect. There's nothing that you should worry about"
"Aww. This is why I love you, I've never loved anyone as much as you; not even Noah"

We both laughed at that little joke I slid in our conversation

"Anyways, I became even more popular than I already was. Noah and I were a couple until 3rd grade and were loyal to each other"
"What happened?"
"Eh it's pretty boring. I moved. And it's not like we had phones to communicate long distance so we had to end it but we were fine. I haven't even seen him since then but now I've got you, and that's all that matters"
"Of course it is baby. And all that matters to me is that I've got you"
"I love you Drift"
"I love you more Brite"
