KINGSTON

I can't still believe Mom asked me to apologize to Dior who acted like she didn't even do anything. She never thanked me for carrying her to school that day.

I apologized to mum and promised her I would never do that again.

Today is Saturday and I just finished cleaning my room, I went to the sitting room to meet Mom after checking her up in her room.

"Morning mum," I greeted as I bent down to kiss her cheeks.

  "Morning, son," Mum replied.

"You look so excited today," I tell her.

"Well, you finally noticed," She smiled, " Irie and I are going to visit one of our old friends,"

"Oh, that's nice,"

"Yes, I want you to show Dior around the city,"

"You can take her to that new pizza shop," Mom said.

"Wait, mom, I am not taking anyone anywhere," I tell her frowning.

"Oh," Mom said turning to face me.

"And why is that son?"

"Mom, I am going out with my girlfriend," I lied.

"You could take her along and tell her to take someone along,"

"Haven't you heard of double date?"She asked pulling my cheeks.

"But why must everything about her?"

Mom frowned," Don't say that, I just don't want her to feel lonely,"

She can call her boyfriend to come to keep her company, why does this have to involve me?

"Fine,"

"Good, I have to get ready now,"

Well, now I have to call Isla that I am taking her on a double date. I wanted to spend the whole of Saturday to myself, but everything is ruined.

I changed into something more comfortable and exited my room.

"Where is Kingston?" I heard Isla ask from the sitting room.

"Don't know, don't care," Dior answered.

Isla laughed, what was so funny about what Dior said?

"Don't know, don't care," I mimicked as I walked into the sitting room.
                                 
Dior rolled her eyes and turned to a guy near her, it was then I realized we were four in the sitting room.

"Hey, am Ivan," He greeted extending a hand.

Oh, her boyfriend. He didn't look bad, no wonder she didn't show any interest in me. I was just so used to girls twirling around me, I never believed one would not even look at me twice and that made me angry.

"Kingston," I introduced taking his hand.

"Where are we going, Kingston?" Isla questioned holding on to my arm.

"Mom said there is a new pizza shop, let's try it out,"

"That will be great," Ivan said, " I love pizza,"

Who asked for his opinion? I gave him a smile mixed with sarcasm.

He noticed I was giving him a fake smile, he looked at Dior who mouthed to 'Ignore him' and he nodded in agreement.

Strange fellows.

"What are we waiting for then?" Isla chuckled.

That's why I liked Isla, she was very jovial and always happy. That's one reason why I can't tell her I don't love her, being around her just makes me happy too.
