The Truth

I think your flaws are the best part.

Like how you get too worried about having your car detailed so your parents had to do it behind your back. I love it, you're so protective of that piece of machinery.

I love your awkward tic toks, how they don't exactly make sense and clearly didn't come about on behalf of a plan.

Your smile isn't GQ, but it squints up your eyes and I know it's the only thing you're thinking about.

I don't mind that you send me stuff that I don't always laugh at. It's even funnier to laugh at you laughing at them. They're not funny!

I love your enormous appetite for uncrustables. And how your body doesn't seem to realize just how many you eat. Your mouth could be a continuous vacuum and your stomach probably wouldn't realize.

You don't really have flaws at all.

Thank you for being my friend.

My father once said to me that girls and boys aren't really friends unless one party wishes for more.

I'm not sure how true or untrue that is. All I know is, if I did love you in that way, my life would be complete. It'd be easy too. It's just too bad our winds are blowing in different directions. And I'm sorry for that. I wish it didn't have to play out like that. You deserve everything you want.

I love you. I'll always be sorry it's not enough.

Still, thank you for being you.
