Sixteen🐚

Haechan made his way around the kitchen and into the small break room, shutting the door behind him. He took a deep breath and exhaled shakily. He walked over to the old brown coach in the right corner of the cozy room. Haechan sat in silence until he heard a knock in the door so he quickly wiped the tears from his face. The door opened to reveal Johnny with an empathetic expression.
"I'm sorry." Johnny whispered as he sat next to the smaller boy.
"Why?" He asked confused.
"I completely forgot he came here often, I should've warned you." The tall man said as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Do you know?" Haechan shyly asked.
"Yeah me and Jaehyun got pretty close after I found out Taeyong cheated on me with him." Haechan looked at him waiting for the older to explain how their friendship started. Johnny laughed at the younger's look.
"Well it started when I was asked by the cafe's company to help open this place. Jaehyun was one of our first costumers and he quickly recognized me from my birthday party." Johnny wiped a tear from Haechan's face and continued.
"We got to became more familiar with each other and one day he had accidentally brought up dating Taeyong a couple months before. I found it very confusing because as you know me and Taeyong has been together for three years." Johnny paused and took a deep breathe.
"That day I went home and me and Taeyong had the biggest argument ever and I broke up with him. He ran away crying and I was just so angry I didn't bother to go after him. But if I had known where he ran to I would have stopped him." Haechan knew what had happened that night. The night that ruined everything.
"Have you talked to him since?" Haechan questioned talking about Taeyong.
"We didn't want to end everything on bad terms so we talked it over. We decided to stay friends but we only talk here and there."
"Do you miss him?" He asked so quietly that Johnny barely heard him.
"More than anything." Silence.
"How about you, how have you been dealing with it?" Johnny asked carefully.
"Me and Jaehyun didn't date as long as you guys but there wasn't been a day we're I haven't thought about him. Our relationship was moving really fast and even before we dated I had liked him for a whole year." Haechan's voice cracked.
"Why wasn't I good enough?" Johnny threw his arms around the boy as he broke down.
"It's not you're fault. Don't you ever let that thought go back into your brain because you're too good for this world and if Jaehyun was too stupid to realize that then that's on him."
"Johnny, does he ever talk about me?" Johnny stayed quiet knowing this was a conversation for him and Jaehyun.
"Haechan talk to him, get some closure for your heart."
