"It's already been a week, do you think we should check up on him?" Doyoung sighed as they closed the front doors of the cafe.
Ten followed as he pulled out his car keys from his backpack,"If you think it's that serious we could, but he might just be busy. He did say he recently got a promotion at his job."
"True. I just worry sometimes, I don't think he's as sober as he claims to be."
"Good night guys get home safe!" Haechan shouted while running to catch the last train home.
"How strange."Haechan had barely made it to the station just before the blue doors on the train closed. He huffed as he held on to the safety rails. The boy had already began day dreaming when a sudden vibration in his pocket had startled him. He pulled out his phone and read a text from Renjun demanding to go shopping with him and Jaemin. Haechan smiled as agreed since it was the one day the three had a day off together. After the train ride, he made his way to Mark's house for a sudden sleepover. Haechan used the spare key hidden in the pot next to the staircase and opened the front door.
"Mark! I'm hungry!" Haechan yelled out as he removed his shoes.
"You came to the wrong place then," Mark said as he popped his head from the kitchen.
"Not even anything instant?"
"Nope I was gonna go grocery shopping tomorrow," Mark responded as he dialed the takeout number for Chinese food.
"You wanna come with Renjun, Jaemin, and I? I don't really know where we're going but I can go with you to the grocery store when we're done."
"Yeah sure, I need some new shoes anyways."
"Great I'll tell them to meet us here and we can all go together!""Jaemin how many more stores are we going to, my feet hurt," Haechan whined as Jaemin dragged him by the arm.
"There's one more store I need to go to just be patient."
The four friends walked around the outdoor mall, searching for the Nike store that seemed to be no where to be found.
"Oh look over there!" Haechan pointed to a small shop excitedly.
"That doesn't look like the Nike store bud." Mark sighed in defeat.
"Well it's not but look at the sign! They're offering psychic readings for only five dollars!"
"Those are just scams," Jaemin scoffs, frustrated he can't find the store.
"Jaemin don't be mean, how about I go with Haechan and you two get your shoes." Renjun offers.
"Yes c'mon let's go!" Haechan pulled Renjun excitedly. When the two open the dark wood door a little bell at the top rang, indicated someone had entered. They looked around the shop filled with different books, crystals, and cards to see no one was there.
"Hello, is anyone there?" Haechan called out as Renjun made his way to the books.
"Good afternoon young man, how can I assist you?" A short old lady popped out of a room covered by purple, velvet curtains.
"I'm here for the five dollar readings ma'am."
"Oh of course follow me."
Haechan followed the lady behind the curtains and sat on the cushion she had pointed to. She had lit a few candles that were on a shelf mounted on the dark walls.
"What is you're name?"
"Donghyuck ma'am."
"Any reason why you wanted a reading Donghyuck?" The woman asked as she sat on the cushion opposite from him.
"Umm no reason."
"You can't lie to me boy."
"Well I just want some clarity," Haechan pauses, hesitant to finish his sentence.
"I'm here to help you, find the answer. Now why don't you tell me what's troubling you?"
"I want to know how my love life will play out," he said shyly. The lady examined him, Haechan began to feel uncomfortable under her gaze.
"You're necklace, may I hold it?" Haechan removed his necklace and the lady held it in her palms.
"I can tell this necklace is very special to you."
"My ex gave it to me," Haechan responded, starting to open up to the lady.
"I see. Yes this necklace is traced with a lot of love, but also with guilt. It seems that your past lover has been hiding things from you."
"Like what?"
"Tell me now, do you still hold love for this person?"
"I don't know," Haechan whispered.
"Donghyuck do you know what the twin flame is?" The old lady asked as she returned the necklace is.
"No I don't, what is it?"
"You're twin flame seems to be in a lot of trouble, they desperately need help."
"My what?"
"It is up to you whether you want to help them or not, please make the right decision." She finally said as she stood up and walked Haechan out of the dimly lit room.
"Oh an astrology book? Would you like to buy it?" She asked Renjun when she saw him holding the book. Renjun bought the book as Haechan paid the five dollars and the top has exited the small shop.
"So do you know the meaning of life now?" Renjun joked, Haechan shook his head.
"I don't really understand what she was trying to tell me." Haechan said in distress.
"Oh look they're over there." Renjun pointed at the two guys sitting on a bench.
"Did you two find what you were looking for?" Renjun asked.
"Yeah we got the shoes, now help us carry all of Jaemin's bags," Mark said picking up three bags in each hand. The group walked to Jaemin's car while Renjun explained to Jaemin why it's important to know you astrology chart.
"Did you get your reading?" Mark asked Haechan who seemed a little too quiet.
"Yeah I did, but I don't really understand what the lady was talking about."
"What did she say?"
"Well she was going on about how a twin flame seemed to be in a great distress and how they need my help."
"You're twin flame?!" Renjun stopped walking out of shock.
"Yeah, but I don't know what that is. She didn't want to tell me."
"Oh my god hyuck you've met your twin flame? This is insane." Renjun panicked.
"Can someone just tell me what that is."
"You're twin flame is like the other half of your soul! Twin flames have like a crazy spiritual connection!" Renjun tried his best to explain as he freaked out.
"So like a soul mate?" Jaemin tried to understand what the smaller was saying.
"No no twin flame connections are much stronger and rarer than soul mates will ever be."
"Yeah I understand it now but it still doesn't answer the part where she said my twin flame is in trouble." Haechan said as he threw the bags into the trunk. All while the three were shouting over each other, Mark stood there with a cold sweat. Thinking if he should bring up the information that he knew.
"Actually Hyuck," Mark voiced out and the three looked over at him.
"What is it Mark?" Haechan asked when he noticed the trouble look on his best friend's face.
"Something happened a while ago, and I think it's about time I tell you."
