Haunted House

Your POV:

"You don't have to be scared because you have me here to protect you," Oikawa says, draping his arm around my shoulder and sticking a tongue out at the others.

Kuroo moves next to me and wraps himself around my other side. "Move aside buddy boy. How is someone with no ass supposed to protect her." Oikawa gives Kuroo a pointed look, and Kuroo starts to cackle.

"Who says I need protecting anyway?" I roll my eyes in amusement, pushing the two giants off me. I would rather die than admit to them that I get scared really easily. I make my way to Ushijima's side where I know I will get a little bit of peace.

Ushijima looks at me with slightly knitted eyebrows and asks "Are you in danger?"

Satori tries to hold in his laughter by covering his mouth but fails. "No. They're just talking about the haunted house," I explain, giving him a soft grin to reassure him. He still looks at me with a confused expression as if he is mentally asking me 'why would a haunted house hurt you.' I think it's cute how his face doesn't express his emotions well, but at this point, I feel like I can tell what he's thinking. "Have you ever been to a haunted house?" I ask.

"No. It's my first time." Ushijima plainly responds.

Satori pats his friend on the back as he joins into the conversation "Then you'll understand once we get there. But you don't have to worry about (Y/N), I know she could definitely kick my ass."

"Mhm," I nod, putting on a smile and rubbing Ushijima's arm "Let me protect the both of you." I notice Sugawara trying to get everyone's attention before he points the way we need to start moving. "Let's go. I think we need to follow Suga-chan."

"Why would she fight him?" Ushijima mumbles, burying his eyebrows before following me as I make my way to follow Suga.

Kuroo's POV:

"She's with him again. Maybe, they're actually going out?" Bokuto frowns as he watches (Y/N) and Ushijima walk together in front of us.

"No way, No way," Oikawa responds, waving his hand as if shooing off the air. He's saying that but he's squinting his eyes and pursing his lips as he looks at the two of them too.

While the Oikawa and Bokuto bicker, Iwaizumi stays silent as he walks with us. He has his arms crossed and his scowl looks scarier than normal.

I don't really want to bring this up because I know it'll be awkward, but I am curious to see all their reactions. "Why do you guys care if she's with him anyway?" I ask, trying to sound nonchalant.

"I like her. I want her to be with me," Bokuto easily states in a confident manner. My eyes widen at how naturally he can admit that in front of everyone, especially since he's not the only one here that sees her in that way.

"You should get over her cause she would obviously pick me over you." Oikawa smirks at Bokuto causing the two of them to start arguing again.

I turn my gaze to Iwaizumi and wiggle my eyebrows to let him know it's his turn to answer. "I don't care," Iwaizumi grunts before turning his face away. That's not what those murderous eyes were saying earlier.

I wonder if I should tell them that there's no way that she could be with Ushijima because she accepted a date with me, and I know she's not the type of person to cheat. Thinking it over, I decide against it and pat both Oikawa and Bokuto on the back. "Calm down. It's her choice who she dates plus it's not like either of you had a chance with her in the first place," I chuckle as the two of them turn to give me irritated expressions.

Your POV:

Entering the haunted house, the first part is a dark narrow hallway decorated with a few dim lights and cobwebs. The eery, suspenseful music makes me imagine a child-like doll closely following me waiting to strike me with a knife, and chills run down my spine as I feel the cool air touch my body. My heart starts to beat a mile a minute, and I feel like there is something stuck in my throat. "This isn't even that scary." I hear Bokuto say from behind me. Hearing him say that doesn't make me feel any better.
