Your POV:
Putting my pencil down, I take a moment to stretch my arms over my head once the professor dismisses class for the day. It's nearing the end of the semester, and it's getting to that point where I want to give up but I won't.
Leaning onto the desk next to me, Satori asks "Do you want to hang out today? We have a new episode to watch."
"I'm sorry. I already have plans for today," I answer as I pack my notebook into my bag, getting ready to leave.
"What are you doing? Can I join?"
"There's a small chess tournament that the university is holding," I say, pulling out an event flyer to show Satori, "so if you know how to play chess and want to join then sure."
"Did I hear chess tournament?" Kuroo asks as he walks up to my desk, "I was already planning to go, so do you want to go together?"
"Yeah, yeah I was planning to go too! Let me join." Bokuto appears suddenly, popping up from behind me. Kuroo gives Bokuto a questioning look as if asking him 'do you even know how to play?'.
"I mean it's an open event, so anyone can join," I respond, shrugging my shoulders.
Putting his hands on my desk, Kuroo leans forward with a mischievous glint in his eyes, "Hey, if I win the tournament, will you finally give me a kiss?"
"Sure, why not."
Kuroo widens his eyes at my casual response, but before he can respond, Oikawa joins the little group around my table after listening in on our conversation. "Woah, woah, woah," he intervenes, pointing a finger at himself, "Does that mean if I win, then I can get a kiss?"
"Hm, I guess so," I respond with a short laugh, causing a few more ears to perk up.
"So the winner gets a kiss?" Bokuto asks with excitement and a little too loudly.
Standing behind Oikawa this entire time but still listening to the conversation, Iwaizumi mumbles to himself, "So the winner gets a kiss..."
"You should just leave her to me," Ushijima states, keeping a stoic expression as he approaches.
"Huhhhhh? And why is that?" Oikawa crosses his arms over his chest and glares at Ushijima. Although no one else speaks up, Ushijima is getting some intense stares due to his comment.
"Because I am courting her." Ushijima casually declares in his normal monotone way of speaking.
Kuroo puts a hand on Ushijima's shoulder and with a condescending smile, Kuroo softly says "Well, you better get in line buddy."
Slightly furrowing his brows, Ushijima mutters, "Line... What line?"

Somehow, it ended up with all eight volleyball boys following me to the chess tournament. After each of us registered, we were handed numbers, and now, we are waiting for the event to start. An announcer with a microphone starts to explain the rules and how everything will work before telling us to find the chess table that corresponds with our number. I wish everyone good luck before I make my way to table number 3.
When I arrive at the table, the other competitor is already seated, and he is a cute boy with fluffy, bleached hair wearing hair clips that don't seem to actually be doing anything for his bangs. I sit down in my seat, and the boy flashes me a smile and says "I hope you'll go easy on me. I'm not very good."
"I'm sorry but I can't do that," I let out a short laugh before making my first move. As he decides on his own move, I try to start a conversation so I ask "If you're not very good like you say, what made you decide to enter this?"
