Your POV:

*cough cough* Ughhh how did I get like this. What does it feel like to be healthy again?

I roll over in my bed and hug my blanket tighter, trying to warm myself as I feel chills run down my body. Turning over again, I adjust my body to find a comfortable position but fail to do it. Finally fed up, I shoot up to a sitting position to mentally yell out my frustration, but immediately fall back down as I feel my head pound from the sudden movement.

I hate my life. I promise to the anime gods that I will never again stay out in the rain... go out with wet hair... be in a cold living room for too long... and I definitely will never fall asleep with an exposed stomach... so please make this cold go away.

As I groan and roll around in bed, I hear a knock at my door. I slowly slide to the edge of my bed and start to prop myself up when the knocking becomes a little louder. "Calm yourself sir. I'm coming," I yell the best I can to whoever is at my door. As I make my way to the door, I feel the throbbing tension in my temples and back of my neck intensify. I open the door and lean against the doorframe.

"You look horrible," Iwaizumi says, looking at me up and down with concern.

Leaving the door open, I turn to make my way back towards my bed. "Gee thanks. You're so sweet," I say, rolling my eyes.

I can hear him walk inside behind me and close the door. "That's not what I meant..."

"What are you doing here anyway?" I sit on my bed and turn my head to face him.

He crosses his arms over his chest and watches me with a stern expression, but I notice a bit of pink on his cheeks. "You didn't come to class and no one knew what was up... Why didn't you tell me you were sick?"

"Why didn't you tell me?" I say, imitating his tone and then laughing "What are you, my mom?"

I think I see a visible irk mark pop up on his forehead, but he doesn't say anything. My buzzing head brought on a wave of nausea making me bend down and rest my head in my hands as I rub my temples. Getting on his knee in front of me, Iwaizumi moves my hand to put his forehead against mine. "Damn, you're really hot."

"I know I am." I wink at Iwaizumi before laying back onto my bed and close my eyes, hoping that would make me feel a little bit better.

"How did you get so sick? You need to take better care of yourself. Stay and rest here. I'll be back soon."

I open my eyes to see Iwaizumi getting ready to leave. "Huh? Wait, I can take care of myself."

"Please just let me take care of you," he says, giving me a rare tender expression.

"But I don't want you to get sick..." I softly whine with a pout.

"Then you shouldn't have let me in to begin with dummy. Rest up till I get back, okay?" Iwaizumi tilts his head and flashes a wide smile at me.

Seeing that expression, I feel my breath catch in my throat and my heart starts to pound. I turn in my bed and hide underneath the blanket so Iwaizumi can't see the growing blush on my face. "Okay... take my key card so you can let yourself in..."

Why am I reacting like this... It must be the fever.

•••

About an hour later, I'm laying in bed trying to get some rest when I hear the door to my room open. Iwaizumi comes through the door with a grocery bag filled to the brim and a lunchbox. I watch as he puts everything down on my desk and gets organized. "Can you sit up?" Iwaizumi asks me as he opens up some sort of package.

Picking myself up, I organize my pillows against the wall and then lean my back against them. Iwaizumi wipes my forehead dry and brushes any stray hairs away from my face before placing a cooling patch on my forehead. I immediately feel partial relief as I feel the heat dissipate.

Moving my desk chair next to the bed, Iwaizumi sits down and opens up a thermos jar. "I know you probably don't have much of an appetite, but you need to eat before I can give you some medicine. I made some chicken soup, so it shouldn't be too hard on your stomach." The smell of the soup fills my nostrils, and my stomach starts to grumble. He lets out a short laugh at the noise before dipping a spoon into the soup and lifting it towards my mouth. He continues to feed me and as I look at him, a teasing smirk covers my face. Leaving the spoon in the bowl, he stops and raises an eyebrow at me. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Look at you Doctor Iwaizumi. Do you think that just because you're in sports medicine now, you can make me all better?" I wiggle my eyebrows as I taunt him for absolutely no reason.

He furrows his brows for a moment before he relaxes and lets out a sigh. Shaking his head, he starts to laugh quietly. "I'm glad I get to see this new side of you. Who knew you would be so mean when you're sick."

"I am not mean," I whine as I pout at him. "You should just be happy I'm spending my precious time with you."

Iwaizumi's expression suddenly becomes serious. "I need to tell you something."

Confused and a little nervous at the change in atmosphere, I raise my eyebrow at him waiting for him to continue. He doesn't say anything and instead looks at the ground. "Okay... I'm listening..." I say, trying to urge him to tell me what's on his mind.

"I... I think I l-" he pauses in the middle of his sentence and looks back up at my face - "nevermind. It's nothing important." He tries to play it off by giving me a small grin.

"You can't just say you need to tell me something and then say nevermind," I scorn, knitting my eyebrows.

"Well, this is kind of random, but there are rumors going around that you're dating Ushijima. Some of the guys wanted me to ask and see if it's true," Iwaizumi says as he awkwardly laughs.

I have a feeling that that was not what he was originally going to tell me, but I don't want to push him. "No, we're not together. Why would someone think that?" I let out a short laugh before I sigh, "I'm pretty sure I've already said that I don't want a relationship right now."

"Yeah... you have..." Iwaizumi mumbles under his breath as he looks back down at the ground.
