the raven haired guy dragged his feet, that now was too heavy for him to carry it any longer, across the snow filled street. he hoped that his car hadn't stuck in the snow or else he would have to just wait all night in his car for the snow to get cleared.
as his gaze fell upon his car, another long sigh escaped his lips.
"i really have to wait for the snow to get cleared now."
pouting, he entered his car turning on the engine along with the heater. he hoped the car had enough gas to help him withstand the extremely chilly weather. he thanked heavens that he had worn enough warm clothes to not freeze yet.
he had no energy left to actually search for a proper hotel and considering that he hadn't brought either his wallet or his card, he had no other choice but to stay inside his car shutting the doors tightly and then locking them before tilting his seat and closing his eyes.
he couldn't help but consider calling his friends but pushed the idea aside after looking outside at the pouring snow. he couldn't just call them and have them stuck here with him as well.
he ran his fingers through his dark locks cursing himself for being overly excited. he always knew his luck was bad but being bad to this extent was something really unusual and unexpected. it was as if disappearance of yeosang sucked out all the good lucks he had left with him.
his phone buzzed indicating the arrival of messages.
he unlocked his phone to find seonghwa being his overprotective self asking him if he had reached home. if he told him he was still stuck in front of the apartment that would cause the older to come rushing to san.
he replied the older with a thumbs up before opening yeosang's message informing him about how he wouldn't be able spend christmas with him. he had sent him an attachment of a picture of himself smiling sheepishly at the camera.
a small smile grazed his pale lips while he heaved a loud breathe not being able to withstand the cold. he turned the level of heater to the second highest and closed his eyes trying to sleep.
sleep hadn't seem so far yet so close. as soon as he closed his eyes, he was engulfed with the dark environment of his nightmares. loud voices spoke gibberish from all around him, some going to the extent of tugging his clothes and even his hairs.
a howl came near his ears and a wretching pain erupted in his throat as if someone was trying to choke him. with a burning throat, he felt his breathe coming to a hault and he felt his hands and legs freezing right on the stop.
he wanted to throw his hands around to protect himself from whatever that thing was. he tried screaming but his voice was long gone. his vision became blurry and spots of darkness enveloped sight.
he could faintly hear few voices, some familiar and some unfamiliar -but one stood out to him. he could recognise it even in the most messed up state of his.
it was yeosang's voice, clear as crystal and soft like a cotton. though his voice was low, he could still faintly remember what he was saying and that scared him the most.
his broken words made out to be something he dreaded the most.
coming short on his breathe, he heaved a loud gasp, opening his eyes wide. beads of sweat decorated his forehead and some even trickled down his neck contrasting with the cold weather.
he searched for his phone everywhere, slapping his hands on the seat beside him. finding no other option, he stumbled out of the car.
the car had gone out of gas long ago making him shiver with sheer cold. waddling across the street, he could feel the faint warmth of sun touching his palm making him shiver even more.
he bit his pale, crusty lips hoping he wasn't in a bad state. though his vision was still hazy and shook whenever he took a step further, he could still make out where he was going.
having no other option, he waddled towards seonghwa's apartment which was nearest. walking for around fifteen minutes, he hurriedly knocked on his door.
he had contemplated whether to disturb the older but knowing how bad his state was, he didn't wanted to make him worry him even more by falling into a worse condition.
he could hear the older shuffling through his stuffs probably trying to get out of his bed still half asleep. he heard the door opening and before he could greet him, his face touched the hard, cold ground with a loud thud.
a worried look crossed the older as he tried lifting him up. san wasn't someone who could be called heavy but that didn't mean he was extremely light.
heaving a sigh, he was dropped on the soft mattress with three blankets wrapped around his body.
the older mumbled something under his breathe with profanities in between them. he rushed towards the kitchen making some warm soup.
"i told him not to stay outside. this fucking idiot, never listens to me. what will go wrong if he just listens to me once!"
he heard san groan in his sleep and rushed to his side covering him with another blanket.
"he just got rid of cold and now he is in even worse condition. what will i do with this kid?!"
putting the bowl of soup on the nightstand, he tried shaking the younger.
"san? wake up please."
he could feel the younger stiffling in his sleep and slowly opening his eyes.
san felt around his hand to feel the warmth and placed it against his cheeks that were way too pale for a normal body temperature.
the skin of his lips had already started to break from the middle and blood oozing out of it.
"sometimes, you should listen to me."
