"i know that you guys have chemistry, but that's just acting right? you guys are such great actors and best friends. if something were going to happen, wouldn't it have happened already?" dove asked.
china took in everything she was saying, even though she was drunk. she let it sink it. 'she is right. if cam really loved me, he would of fought for a relationship right now. he doesn't even want to talk to me. maybe i should just-.' china cut herself off.
"go for it. cam and i are just friends. i'm sure you guys would make...a great c-couple." china slurred. in her head she was completely sober after hearing those words. she could think clearly. but her mouth was the opposite.
"thanks, chi. your the best! i'm going to go talk to him." dove smiled and walked away. china stumbled outside to get some air. when she got there, cameron was sitting on the steps doing the same thing. cameron saw her state, and helped her sit down on the steps.
"shit, your really drunk right now." cameron said. china didn't respond.
"look, i'm sorry for how i acted earlier. i was jealous. even though we aren't offical, you know our hearts belong to each other and i-." china cut him off.
"d-dove likes you...and i told her to go for it." china said. those words hit cameron like a truck.
"she what? you what?" cameron asked.
"s-she told me that she liked you, and that she wanted to m-make a move...but she asked m-me first because w-we," she paused to gesture she was referring to herself and him.
"have such good chemistry. but she knew it was acting, b-but wanted to make sure it w-was." china said. cam was speechless.
"also, she said s-since we're best friends, if s-something were to happen b-between us, it would've. she's not wrong, cam." china said.
"we decided to wait to after filming, but-." china cut cameron off.
"but if we really loved each other, we w-wouldn't be able to wait as we have." china said.
"i love you, cam. i'm in love with you. but if we're not going to do anything about it, why waste time? h-hurt our cast mates?" china asked.
"because at the end of the day, love is all that matters. love fixes anything." cameron said.
"if we're meant to be, we'll find our way b-back to each other. i know we will." china said. she was about to get up when cameron leaned in and connected his lips with hers. there was passion and love in the kiss. but most importantly fire. they slowly parted, and china hugged him. she then went inside.
- at the cabin -
cameron was fixing the bed to sleep in, and china was putting on her pjs.
"china can we talk about this?" cameron asked. china was more coherent now.
"cameron, what more is there to say?" china asked.
"i love you. i love you so much it hurts. i'm in love with you. you're what i think of when i think of forever. and if you don't want to wait to be together, i will ask you out right now. say the word." cameron said.
"but i don't want to disappoint dove. i already told her to go for you. if we come back together, i'll feel like i've betrayed her." china explained.
"we can explain to her everything. she will understand. china, please. i can't bare the thought of being with anyone else..." cameron said. china looked in his eyes and saw the hurt. all she could do was walk over and kiss him. it was sweet and delicate. he snaked his arms around her waist as they continued to kiss.
then a phone rang. it was china's phone.
"i have to take this, i'll be right back." china said.
"hurry so we can pick up where we left off." cameron joked. china playfully rolled her eyes and checked the caller id.
"it's dove...do i tell her now?" china whispered.
"might at well rip off the bandaid." cameron said.
"hello? hey, dove...did you get home safe? good...hey, i need to talk to you about-...yeah go ahead...oh really...yeah...t-that's great, dove...i'm going to call you back." china said. she hung up the phone and turns towards cameron.
"so, you weren't going to tell me you kissed dove tonight?"
