A diamond.
Only on his left eye. Not just a diamond, though. Small hot pink cracks on the white of his eye seeping onto the flesh of his eyelids. The gems gasp, and he squeezes his eyes back shut.
"Gh!! WHAT!?" He panics. The gems look at him, unable to put it into words. "Your eye.." Pearl starts quietly. "It's like pink Pearl's." Garnet finishes.
Steven seems to stop breathing, right after gasping silently. "..." he's silent, and so are the gems.
"Hhuf.. what..?" He breathes. He reaches a hand up to rub his eyelid, and sure enough, it's bumpy. He slowly lowers his hand.
"....hhaa.. w-why's that there? I'm fine...!" He confirms shakily. The cracks around his eye grows. The gems gasp. "What?" He snaps. The gems, other than Garnet, flinch.
Before Steven can speak, he whimpers and grabs his head. "A-aaUHG!" He doubles over in pain. The gems gasp again. "Steven!" Garnet yelps.
Blurry. Everything is blurry... and black. All he can hear is the sound of himself breathing and... footsteps. They're both loud and silent. What? He double takes. It's coming from behind him.
Oh, god...
