Chapter 2: In a Place Not Unlike Our Own

• • •

Nezu's laughter was the only thing that startled them out of their stupor.

"Wh-what but it was- I-It's not-" Midoriya fumbled about, confused. The dates on his phone weren't wrong! But Aizawa-sensei - just now - stated that-

"Now this is certainly exciting!" The principal clapped his hands- paws? with an absolutely gleeful look on his face.

Aizawa simply looked at the principal, eyes in a perfect deadpan.

"Aizawa-kun, do you know what I asked Midoriya-kun here while you were away?"

The man raised a brow in question.

"I asked him to give me a little summary of his life! And guess what I found out!"

Aizawa debated on not guessing and sparing himself the headache, ultimately though - the logical side of him won. Darn it, he should strengthen his I-just-want-some-sleep side.

"Fine, what did he say?"

Nezu smiled.

"Well-" and so the principal repeated what the green haired male had told him, about his life and the events that were somewhat similar to what Aizawa remembered happening.

That is, until they reached the training camp event.

"Wait, the training camp that we had planned next week for the students?"

"Indeed"

"But how does he know that? And he told you what happened?"

Nezu nodded with his signature, unfaltering smile in place. Aizawa was confused and shocked at what Midoriya supposedly knew, but let the mouse bear continue.

By the end of it, the teacher felt as if this boy came from another universe if what he had stated was true.

"And how can you say this is true?" He asked, because it was hard to believe everything he had told him.

"Well, you see Aizawa-kun," Nezu once again showed them his computer screen, having another profile showing.

"Izuku Midoriya is meant to be quirkless-"

"-Not to mention, dead"

A heavy silence hung on the air.

Aizawa supposed he should have expected something like this, after all, the mother was supposedly dead - but either wasn't or someone was posing as her. So it doesn't come as much of a surprise that the son is also supposedly dead - but is actually alive, or someone is posing as said son.
