Chapter 4: The Me I'm Not

It had started off as any other day, with the students of class 1-A fitting right in despite their situation. It had been surprisingly easy to adjust in this new world, mainly because there was nothing much to adjust to. Things were fairly similar, other then the timeline being somewhat behind, Aizawa sensei being much more sleep deprived for some reason, and - well - the fact that Midoriya was dead here.
They should know by now though that even if a day had started normal, it was by no means going to stay that way.
It was during lunch, Midoriya was wandering around UA - he had brought it upon himself to avoid more crowded places since he was technically an unfamiliar face here. Iida, Todoroki and Uraraka were eating lunch, although they had promised to come join him when they finished.
The green haired teen was seated under a tree near the back of the school, it was rather peaceful, he mused as he chewed on his own lunch.
There was no unusual sound, or new presence, but somehow, Midoriya felt the need to turn around, staring at a spot among the foliage of green not unlike his own mop of green hair.
He was glad he did, because there, staring straight at him, was the frozen figure of a male clad in black.
Viridian eyes met.

"Guys" Uraraka spoke up "Do you think we should have went with Deku-kun?" She asked, a crease between her brows, signifying her worry.
"I suppose it was unheroic of us to leave our friend alone, however, he brought up a fair point" which was, he'd rather not cause unnecessary questions by hanging around UA students when he wasn't one - in this universe at least (Iida through that statement was ridiculous, he was the most heroic among them! He deserved his spot in UA!).
"Not to mention he was adamant in letting us eat here" Todoroki piqued in, because apparently he thought that he was 'burdening' them with having to eat somewhere else with him.
"Darn puppy dog eyes" Uraraka muttered, it didn't help the teen had such wide eyes, coupled with a cute face, although that might just be her and her biased opinion regarding his looks.
"But I agree though, I have a feeling that we shouldn't have left him alone" Todoroki stated, it was an instinct, that something was happening. It wasn't that hard to believe, because around Midoriya, something always was.
"Well" Iida looked at the window, outside "Yes, maybe we should go to him" he decided.
With a firm nod, the three of them made their way to where their friend said he would be.

Uraraka froze.
"Iida" Todoroki whispered. The mentioned male nodded in understanding before rushing away to find Aizawa-sensei.
There, in front of them, was Midoriya in a defensive position, tense and ready to attack, with another male - about the same height as him - stood straight a distance away, also tense.
"W-who are you?" Questioned the green haired teen, eyes narrowed.
The other person stayed quiet, unmoving.
"I said who are you!?" Midoriya repeated, louder this time. That seemed to snap the other out of whatever stupid he was in, as he blinked at the UA student before him.
