Meet me after class at the 'place'.

-Draco M.

(Y/n) received that note during Transfiguration. She looked back at Draco and smiled before mouthing an "Okay."

"Do you know why today's sort-of special?" (y/n) asked her friend while heading out of class.

"I don't know. First date with Malfoy?" (y/n)'s friend sounded disinterested.

"Er..no." (y/n) shook her head.

"(y/n), I dislike Malfoy but the fact that you're a new level of happy when you have plans to meet makes my dislike fluctuate." her friend smiled t her.

"Is my state of happiness that notice-able?" (y/n) asked, trying to tone down her smile.

"Yes. Very notice-able but Malfoy is up to something, I think. Be careful." her friend warned her.

(Y/n) waved that off and said, "It's been two years since we first kissed."

"No, still don't remember." Draco shrugged, looking at the surface of the lake.

"It was an accident?" (y/n) hinted.

"Why is it so important?" Draco smiled, looking at her.

"That's a trick question. If I answer that I'll give away why I'm talking about celebrating today."

Draco accepted his defeat as he started guessing. "First date?"

"First..er... can't be kiss because it's just not. I know."

"Goodness, Draco! It is. Two years since our first kiss." (y/n) looked bewildered.

"No, It's not." Draco behaved like the stubborn teen he was, "It's only been a year since we started dating."

"Seriously? The time we kissed accidentally? The Arnica tube incident?" (y/n) tried to jog his memory."

"Yes!" Draco exclaimed, "I remember it now. Boy, I'd totally forgotten about it."

"I don't know why I expected you to remember. You didn't even like me back then." (y/n) realized.

"I still don't like you." Draco joked.

"Whatever, Draco Malfoy." (y/n) playfully rolled her eyes, "I got you something to celebrate today."

Draco smiled, "Let's exchange gifts tomorrow I have nothing today."

"No. It's today. We have to celebrate it today." (y/n) insisted, "Close your eyes."

Draco shut his eyes and he heard and felt (y/n) fidgeting.

"Here" she kept something on his hand.

"Do I need to guess what it is? Muggles and their odd ways." Draco sighed.

"No, Draco" (y/n) laughed, "You need to open your eyes. These wizards and their cluelessness."

Draco saw a transparent vial half-full with something that looked like molten gold.

"Okay," Draco hesistated before taking it, "If this is what I think it is, I can't take it."

"What do you think it is?" (y/n) asked.

"Liquid luck" Draco was sure it was Felix Felicis.

"Mmm... Let's pretend it's not" (y/n) shrugged and said, "It's rude to not accept a gift, Draco. Don't you know? Now, use it well."

"Thanks, (y/n)" Draco smiled realizing that what she had given him made things so much more easier for him but, deep inside, he was not sure he wanted to do it.

"I'll give you something now" Draco offered.

Draco found himself taking off his family ring and keeping it on (y/n)'s hand.

"Wow, Draco." (y/n) gasped, "I should not take this. This is for the Malfoy family heir, isn't it?"

"Yes" Draco assured, "and if we're lucky, you'll be the mother of the next heir."

(Y/n) was speechless. Had he just hinted that they will get married some years from now?

Instantly, (y/n) noticed the hope from his eyes fade away. (Y/n) smiled at him before saying, "I really hope we're lucky" and hugged him.

(Y/n) held the ring tight in her hand as Draco remained silent. She kept the ring in her pocket. She didn't know what finger to put it on.

After a long comfortable silence, (y/n) finally spoke, "You know, Draco, you've lost a lot of weight, You look paler than usual and you've got semi-circles under your eyes. Are you not sleeping well?"

"I'm alright" Draco shrugged.

"Yes, you are" (y/n) said, not agreeing, "but some food will do us no harm. Wait here, okay?"

Soon, (y/n) returned with a bag in her hand.

"What's in that?" Draco asked.

"Snacks. Lots if them. Some are just sweets and the others, I just picked it up from the kitchen right now. Thankfully, no trouble."

Draco raised it brows and said, "Do we have to eat all that?"

"No." (y/n) smiled as she sat down, placing the bag in between them, "You have to eat all this."

Christmas was nearing.

Lately, Draco had been feeling better. But that night, he held the liquid luck vial in is hand and he was sure he was going to do it.

It was almost 10 0'clock at night. He drank it all at once and sat down in the Room of Requirement with a quill in his hand and a parchment in front of him.

He started writing. He felt extremely confident writing that letter. After finishing the letter, he sent it and got to fixing the Vanishing Cabinet. He experimented it and it worked.

He was sure now that Liquid Luck really worked and hoped that it did in the other matter as well.

He went outside and told Crabbe and Goyle that he still couldn't fix it and mentioned that they'd have to jeep trying.

He knew he should have been proud that he had done it but some other thoughts occupied his mind presently. He needed some time. He needed to give someone some time and so, he lied.

That night, Draco succeded in sleeping a peaceful sleep

Early morning, (y/n)'s mother received a letter.

Mrs. (l/n),

I need to let you know that Hogwarts is not safe anymore. Not for anyone.
Ma'am, I really like your daughter and I'm doing this to make sure that she stays safe. I know that the safety of (y/n) is really important to you, too. (y/n) won't listen to me if i tell this to her and I also do not have the heart to do it.

Please, do not send her back to Hogwarts after Christmas. In fact, keep her with you in the Muggle world. I hope that you'll be able to keep her back with you.

As much as I love being around her, it's best if she stays as far away from Hogwarts as possible.

-Draco Malfoy.

(Y/n)'s mother discussed the letter with her father and they made a decision.
