Protector

Chapter 1

-Percy POV-

I had a great life. Lots of awesome friends, a happy mom, a dad who was actually talking to me, and the most amazing girlfriend in the whole world. Now think back to my first sentence. The key word here is had. It was two months after the Giant War and I was happy. But, I have the worst luck of any demigod, so of course that had to change.

-Flashback-
"Leo's back and he brought back someone!" I heard a 15 year old Aphrodite girl say to her best friend. At first I didn't believe it, I mean Leo was dead and he had no one to give him the potion!
But then I started to here whispers of Leo is back everywhere. I was going to go to Cabin 3 when I saw Annabeth running up to me out breath, yet as beautiful as ever.

"Leo is here-" she started to sat something else, but I was already dragging her to Thalia's Pine Tree, where Leo would most likely be at. When I got to the pine tree I for surely found Leo , but there was also someone next to him. I dropped Annabeth's hand. I knew that person without her even having to turn around.

"CALYPSO!!!" She turned around from laughing at something Leo said. When she saw me I think her smile got bigger. She let go of Leo's, then came running to me.

"PERCY!!!!" When she go to me, she litterly launched herself at me, knocking me down. She got up and instantly started laughing when she saw me. I some how landed my fall in a supermodel position. (You know the one supermodels do when they want to be "sexy". I know you know it.) "Wow Percy, you haven't changed at all." Then suddenly all the the people that have been (sneakily, if i do say so myself) forming a circle around us, started laughing along with her. I srambled up from my position blushing. About a month ago I told everyone at Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter about my trip to Ogygia. I guess they have a face for Calypso now. I was laughing along with everyone else then I had the most amazing idea ever, at least to me it was.

"Wow Calypso, you haven't changed a lot either." Right when I said 'either' a bunch of water from the lake splashed onto her. She screamed so loud I bet people in London heard it. (A/N:You get it!!! HAHAHA!!!!!! On with the story!!!!)

"PERCY!!!! YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!!!!!" Though me being me, I just laughed my head off.

-End of Flashback-

Who knew so much could change in so little time. Meaning just weeks ago. Within 12 days, everything turned upside down. I lost all my friends, my mother, my father, and my girlfriend when I mostly needed her. The day after Leo came, I decided that I would visit my mother.

-Flashback-

I was right outside my mom's apartment, but something felt off.  I grabbed riptide out of my pocket, uncapped it and then kicked down the door. Not even having time to think I ran into the living room. What I found infront of me, would make anybody go weak in their knees and fall back in terror. There was nothing that could have prepared me for the sight that I saw at that moment. My mother was lying on the floor dead. It looked like she was trying to protect something, but wasn't successful. Her limbs were bent in odd directions, and her eyes were open looking so, horrified I fell to the ground in tears. After what felt like forever, I slowly got up and walked over to my mom's body. "Dad.... Please come..." Next to me I could distantly feel a presence, but was so numb I couldn't even turn my head to see who it was. All I I could do was just stare at her.

I heard the precence next to me mumble"Why...." And I finally turned my head to see who it was. Next to me stood the aljmighty Posiden, God of the sea, crying. "Why.." he said again. He bent down next to my mom's body in his arms then, flashed out. 

I couldn't take it anymore, so I ran.

I don't know for how long I ran, but after a while I found myself next to Thalia's tree. I was about to go to my cabin, when I heard someone screaming. I turned around and saw a sixteen year old boy running from something. He had a kitchen knife in his hand for his only protection, against what was coming after him. Not wanting anyone else to die today I ran as fast as I could toward the kid. When I got a closer, I could see that there were two cyclops chasing him. I instantly got riptide out and jumped it front of them and stabbed one of them, it immediatly dissinagrated, but I was so distracted my the first one that I didn't notice that the other cyclops was swinging his club towards me till it was too late. I got knocked in the stomach getting the wind knocked out of me. Knowing that if I didn't stop the cyclops the kids was going to die, I didn't even wait a second for the trobbing to stop. I rolled in bettween the cyclops legs came up behind him, and stabbed him in the back. He went with his friend to Tarturas.

 I looked around to make sure that there were not any other threats then relaxed. I turn to where the kid was and see him coming towards me. I thought it was to thank me, but I was so wrong. He pushed me to the ground, grabbed riptide, and then put monster dust on himself(gross!!!) Shaking off the previous confusment,(A/N:I don't care if that's not a word to you. It's my word, this my book, build a bridge and get over it.) I was about to ask him what he was doing, but then the whole camp came down the hill. Thinking he was just weird I turned my attention towards the camp and was about to say something when the kid spoke. 

"I battled those- things while he just sat there!"  Wrong "I asked him to help me, but he just smirkedat me!" Wrong "I grabbed the sword out of his hand," true "and had to battle them all by myself!" WRONG!!!!

Trying to stay calm, I calmly replied to what he said , "That is not true, he was so scared, I've got the pee in his pants to prove that to anyone He is lying to all of your fac-"

"PERCY!!!!!! Why are you lying!!! He has your sword and he's full of monster dust! Plus you're on the ground!!!!!" Chiron cut in.

Everyone around me started agreeing with him and it looked like the kid's spirits rose, making him smirk at me. Suddenly there was a bright flash and there stood my father. Everyone started to bow and I said "Dad!", but he totally ignored me and turned to the liar.

"Everyone welcome my new son Ryan Burns!" A glowing trident glowed above Ryan's head and I could only think one thing. How in Hades is this douche my new half brother?
