Chapter 21 - After the show

When we finished singing together Angie was so happy that she jumped into my arms which surprised me a bit, but felt really good.

- You were amazing - I said as I hugged her tightly to me.

- No. We were amazing! - she replied - I don't know what I'd do without you...

- Angie...

- I'm serious! You've been the closest to me lately... None of my family members really care about me...

- Oh really?

- Yes...

- I wouldn't say that.

- Why so?

- Because Violetta came up to me right before we started, telling me to not to hurt you...

... And yet I'll just do it again and again.

- That's...

- .... Surprising? - I laughed.

- Yes - she smiled - But this makes me happy too though...

- She cares about you, Angie... - I said as I lifted her chin up and looked into her eyes - And so do I...

What?! I do care, but when she finds out who I am she'll think I don't and I'm just playing with her feelings... I feel awful...

That evening I took Angie home than I went home myself too and I found an excited Violetta in the living room.

- Omg! You should have seen Angie and Jeremias singing together! - she said happily - They were perfect and seemed soooo happy!

- Is that so, Vilu? - I said, smiling awkwardly.

- Yes! She deserves happiness though... She seemed really sad before Jeremis came to the Studio and now she seems much happier mostly when they're having a class together.

- That's good.

- Dad... Can I ask you something?

- Sure, darling. What is it?

- Are you really not bothered by what I just said? - Vilu asked, looking weirdly at me.

- Uhm... No, why would I?

So awkward.

- I was just curious...

- I'm glad she found happiness after all - I said, smiling awkwardly.

Luckily Vilu didn't ask anything more and went to her own business after this conversation, but I think she's still suspicious. Maybe she still thinks that I have feelings for Angie... And she's right.

She's totally right, but I just know Angie would never talk to German normally because we always end up arguing. But I can be with her normally as Jeremias... Well... Normally... Yeah... Whatever...
