Chapter 25 - The wedding

The wedding between me and Esmeralda was getting closer and closer and I was upset more and more as I still didn't know what to do.

I love Angie, but we argue every time we meet at my house, or anywhere and since I confessed my feelings for her she avoids me as much as possible. Probably because she thinks this would be wrong.

I know she loves me! I just know it! But she won't admit it since we both have a lover... Well, yeah... We have.

I'm so confused, but I have no time to think anymore. Today is my wedding and I'm gonna tame Esmeralda as my wife within 3 hours now and I'm scared.

- German, are you ready for the wedding? - asked Ramallo.

- No...

- So will you...

- No, Ramallo! Angie hates me! - I snapped angrily - She loves Jeremias... And Jeremias will be there for her... But German's getting married today...

- You're so stupid, German - Ramallo groaned - You love Angie and you still marry Esmeralda. You might think you can be with Angie as Jeremias forever, but if she finds out about it she'll be really upset...

- But she won't find out...

----- TIME SKIP -----

We were already at the place where the wedding was hold and the guests were coming. I saw Olga and Ramallo sitting down while Vilu was getting ready to sing with that Diego boy.

And a few minutes later Angie came too. She has a beautiful red dress on which looked really good on her... But not that sad, depressed face she had on when she arrived. I have seeing her like this.

She looked at me sadly for a quick seconds then went to sit down.

I felt bad for lying again, but I had no choice. Jeremias went back to Spain to see his mother so Angie was alone.

I feel so stupid for talking about myself in third person though, but whatever...

- The ceremony is about to start... - said suddenly Ramallo who appeared next to me.

- Okay... - I nodded, but I couldn't get my eyes off of Angie even when the music started.

I only looked away from her when I saw Esmeralda coming towards me.

She walked up to me and the priest and when she arrived the ceremony began. The priest said his part then it was our turn.

- Esmeralda Di Pietro, do you take German Castillo as your lawful wedded husband?

- I do!

- German Castillo, do you take Esmeralda Di Pietro as your lawful wedded wife?

The whole time I felt hesitant and when it eas my turn to say my words they just didn't come out. I couldn't say anything for a while and even when I got my streight to say something someone shouted...

- Stop right there!

Everyone jumped then looked towards the direction where we heard the sound from and we noticed Jade standing there.

- Jade... - Esmeralda hissed.

- She's a liar! She only wants your money, German! - Jade continued shouting and then another woman walked up next to her - This is a detective next to me and she can prove it too!

Just as I was about to turn to Esmeralda she ran away, leaving everyone in a complete shock.

----- TIME SKIP -----

Later on the detective woman told us about Esmeralda and even Jade was shocked who got her to seduce me and get my money. She has been doing this for years already and I wasn't the first one who she fooled.

After the detective told is everythind and we told her about Esmeralda all we knew she went off, but Jade stayed and so did Angie who was standing behind me the whole time. I didn't look behind, I just felt it was her.

- My love, I'm so so sorry! - said Jade - I just wanted you back and I...

- And you wanted my money! - I hissed - You ruined my family once and you just did it again! What else do you want from us?! What is it?!

- German, I...

- Go away and don't come near my family anymore! - I shouted then I stormed off. I was just so pissed off that I didn't know what to do. I felt so lost and everything that all I wanted to do is to be alone so I went to the park to sit down.

When I was there I went straight to the bench I cheered Angie up before as Jeremias and just sat there, quietly.

I was thinking and thinking. Thinking about how stupid I was that I pushed Angie away from me and now she doesn't even talk to me properly. I truly feel that I'm gonna lose her. What am I gonna do then?!

- German... - I suddenly heard whispering behind me then two arms around my neck - I'm sorry...

It was Angie. Her soft voice made me calm down instantly. I leaned my head back and looked up to see her beautiful face. I didn't say a word, just held her hand gently and sighed deeply.

She just smiled sadly at me and kissed my head which made my heart beat faster. I love having her with me like this. We didn't need anything to say. We understood each other right away by only just looking at each other.
