Math today was a breeze, probably because you slept through the class. When the bell rang the teacher strode over to the door, with a huge stack of papers, and began hanging them out to students as they left. Then you noticed something, these paper were separated into individual packets, which explained the thickness of the overall pile. This led you to believe they were study guides, making two more things obviously clear.
A. There was a test next week, most likely Thursday, your teacher's favorite day to give tests and quizzes.

B. Today's class was most definitely a review and practice lesson.

You gather your things, grabbed the, now confirmed, study guide, and made your way up to the 2nd floor for Biology.
Biology wasn't such a bad class, mainly because Orchird and Arum were both part of that class. You arrived early so you decided you would listen to.......music. You kept forgetting your phone was dead. You let out a sigh before opening your textbook to the page on the board. Your science classroom was arranged in a way that facilitated infamous group activities.

Mrs. Porter, your Biology teacher, had a series of 3 rows with 4 tall tables lined up and down the classroom, leaving plenty of space for her to stroll up and down the classroom, by each table, allowing her to easily keep tabs on her the students.(Picture)Each table seated 2 students and contained 2 bar stools that slid from under the tables, for easy access. Every so often your teacher would switch up the pairs and give the classes new seating charts, and today just so happen to be one of those days. When the bell rang and all the students were seated, she began.

You had been fairly happy with your pair partners so far

The list:
Marcov Conners
Emmy Dallows
Bucky Anole
Orchird Smith

And your new partner waas...

The One
THE FUCKING ONLY

Jenna Quinn.

On the plus side, Arum was on the table to the right of yours. He was sitting on the left side of his table, meaning if you sat in the right seat at your table, you'd practically be sitting next to him!
You gathered your things quickly and made your way to your new table. Just as you set down your things and slid out the right stool, Jenna sat her fat ass in your was-to-be seat. She tilted her head and gave you a smirk.
"I'm sorry this is my seat", she said giggling and crossing her legs.

"Miss Jenna, do me a favor and switch places with Y/n, please", Mrs.Porter said putting a hand to her cheek and smiling.

"WHAT?!? WHY SHOULD I", she yelled, making a scene

"I don't want you to get distracted by your neighbor, as you usually do", Mrs.Porter stated calmly as she shifted her gaze to Arum, who was sitting in his new seat, completely innocent and oblivious to the argument's contents.
Jenna angrily got up and sat in the seat on the left of the table. She ended her tantrum with a "tech, whatever", but you couldn't care less, justice had been rightfully served, for once, and you got to sit next to Arum. You proudly plopped into your new seat and organized your things.

"What was that about, I wasn't really....... offering up much of my attention", Arum questioned, a look of innocence and confusion on his visage.

"Oh its nothing important, just a certain loud mouth bitching about nothing, again", you said, partially sighing.

You felt Jenna glaring dagger at the back of your head, so you simply turned to face her and returned the favor. You crossed your legs and smirked at her, slightly giggling, before refocusing to Arum.

He had seen that little petty interaction and couldn't help but give a barely audible snort. That made you giggle. Jenna, fed up with you, turned to face the board in the front of the classroom.

"Okay class, now that we're all in our new pairs, I'm happy to announce, well be doing our Electrophoresis Lab in these pairs. I know its sudden, but this is a project grade. Today, we'll practice and Wendsay will be your actual grade. I'll be handing out some important tip and help sheets for you to use at your disposal."

Electrophoresis- a gel process used to separate charged molecules, like DNA, according to size.

Everyone sighed. This was going to be difficult, especially for you; Jenna didn't really care about grades like you did. You had to maintain an all A and High B average or it was your ass. Because she doesn't care about her grade, yours too non the less, she could easily sabotage this for the both of you, you mostly. You had to keep a keen eye out.

(I don't want to confuse anyone so I'm going to use really basic terms)

Mrs.Porter handed out materials to the pairs along with some instructions, said to summon her when they finished their question sheet, and told the students to get started. You knew the material and how to do the procedure, but you didn't know at all how to read the gel pattern and answer the questionnaire she had given your group. Once you finished the gelling process and gotten your results, the struggling began.

After a few minutes of struggling your, seemingly useless, partner grabbed the questionnaire and began flying through the questions.

"Hey!? What in the hell are you doi-".

"Done", she said cutting you off and raising her hand, to summon the instructor.

"Hey! Wait! We need to look at them carefully!"

It was too late, the teacher had already appeared and begun looking over your answers. You closed your eyes and crossed your fingers, hoping Jenna hadn't completely screwed you over.

"Well done girls, everything looks great, your experiment and questions. Feel free to relax until the rest of the class finishes up."

Wow. Just...wow. She had one something right....JENNA QUINN HAD JUST DONE SOMETHING TO HELP YOU.

"Uh..tha-"

"Don't", she stated, taking out some lip gloss to reapply.

Maybe the mean, ruthless, smartass Jenna wasn't all there was to her. Maybe you had made her out to be worse than she actually was. Well whatever the case, you would be slightly grateful for this....microscopic deed she had done.

Just....this....once.

The rest of the classes flew and soon enough, it was time to head home. Nothing especially eventful had gone on after Biology. You had seen your older brother, Colton, but he was too busy with his friends to talk to you. Honestly, you didn't really care, you saw him to much as it is at home.

You all got on the bus and began the trek back to hell (your house) and you knew you were in for it, when you got home.
