Stranger Happenings: Book One

Chapter Four

Aurora couldn't sleep at night, she tossed and turned in her bed. This has been going on ever since she got in bed. She keeps thinking about Alex, he's been on her mind ever since she first met him. She groans and gets out of her bed, walking to her window.

She was surprised when she saw someone outside, she was even more shocked when she saw it was Alex.

Aurora put on her robe and quickly ran out. Alex stood in front of her, watching her intensely. Aurora blushes at the way he stared at her.

Alex began taking off his shirt, he threw the shirt to the ground and approached her. Aurora blushes more at this.

"I didn't think I'd be having sex with you so soon." The red head takes off her robe, revealing her tight shorts and even tighter shirt. Her heart races at the anticipation of what they're about to do.

"Who said anything about sex?" Alex had his fangs out and quickly ran to her.

Aurora gasps and sat up fast on her bed, she looks at herself and saw that she still had her clothes on. She got up to her bathroom and saw no blood on her. Relief went through her system, it was only just a dream. A very vivid one, Aurora thought to herself. She put her robe on and walk downstairs.

Her parent's sat at the table, eating breakfast.

"Good morning mom and dad." Aurora said as she poured himself a cup of coffee.

"Good morning sweetheart, tell me, when is your vampire friend coming over?" Herb asked, Aurora turned to him.

"He said he was available tonight, so he'll come tonight. If that's ok with you two."

"Oh that's fine with us, we're wondering because Rodney would like to meet him. As does his girlfriend, they'll both be here tonight." Lydia continued to read the newspaper, Aurora was shocked to hear this.

"Why? Rodney hates vampires, and why is he bringing over his girlfriend?"

"She wants to know more about him, he must of have an interesting life. Rodney also wants her here in case he gets... well, you know."

"No, I don't know what you mean, please elaborate." Aurora said, she sounded annoyed, Lydia frowned at her daughter.

"In case he attacks us." Herb says, looking at her. "We don't know what to expect, it's a good idea, for safety precautions."

"That and Rodney wants to show off, he won't attack us." Aurora said, she defended Alex fiercely, not understanding why.

"Sweetie, it's just, we worry, we love you two so much. We just want you two to be safe." Lydia said, she took Aurora's hands in her own, Aurora rubbed her hands.

"I know, we love you too." Aurora hugs her foster parent's and heads back upstairs. She walked into her brother's room, who was in bed, and quickly closed the door.

"Oh hi Aurora, please, come in." He said sarcastically, the red head rolled her eyes.

"What do you think your going to prove tonight? That you're tough? Why are you inviting your girlfriend over? And don't say it's for our protection." Aurora asked, she grew annoyed when Rodney scoffed.

"You know I don't want that fanger here, I want to show him that I'm not afraid of him. That if he crosses a like, I'll show him who's boss." Rodney said stubbornly, he looked at her.

"Right, because you're going to take down a vampire, who is also a professional vampire hunter?" Aurora asked sarcastically, to which Rodney grew angry and his eyes narrowed at her.

"Not if I got a wooden stake, he won't do anything." Rodney said in a dark voice, Aurora was shocked to hear that.

I'm not going to let this fanger hurt my family. It's bad enough he's got Aurora under his spell, I won't let him do the same things with my parents.
