Aurora wiped down the tables at her work, preparing for the bar to open. Her boss, Sam, was letting Aurora take it easy. He didn't want her to over do herself. Aurora was grateful for this, she didn't feel any pain, but she felt scared. The witch felt that she was being watch, she didn't want to take any chances. Though the other night, she was happy to have Alex hold her. She felt safe with Alex, she knew that her family and friends wanted her to stop seeing the vampire, but Aurora couldn't help it, she was falling for him.

Aurora shakes her head, she walks over to Rodney. She steals a French fry from his plate.

"Are you excited for your date tonight?" Aurora took a bite from the French fry.

"I'm always excited to see Cappy, I'm going to meet her after my shift."

"Make sure you take a shower."

"That's obvious."

They both chuckle, Aurora takes another French fry, Rodney looks at her.

Maybe I should ask Aurora, she might give me good advice.

"Advice about what?"

"I keep forgetting you can read minds." The blonde cook teases, but frowns lightly, Aurora notices this.

"Is everything ok Rodney?"

"Well... I know she's not going to like this, but I want her to quick working with Vampire Alex."

Aurora wasn't surprised at this, she knows that Rodney hates the vampire. It makes matters worse with his mate working with him.

"You got any advice on how I should go about it?" Rodney goes back to making to the kitchen to cook, Aurora follows him.

"My advice, be honest, don't delay it either, tell it to her straight. There's no point in trying to lie to her. Have you tried telling her before?"

Rodney nods, "Many times, but every time we talk about it, she says not to worry about it, because he's not going to hurt her. I'm not convinced, and it only leads to more arguing. I just want her to be safe."

"I'm sure she knows that, but it is her choice, he also saved her, did you forget about that?"

Rodney scoffs, "I doubt that, a vampire saving a werewolf? They want us dead, and we want them dead. Why would her save one of us? There's not a doubt in my mind that he glamored her."

Aurora frowns, "I believe in Cappy-"

"No you don't, you take the word of a dead man over your own kind." Rodney said angrily, it almost sounded like a growl. Aurora didn't like this, she knew that she shouldn't retaliate, but her brother made her angry with that remark.

"My kind?" Aurora scoffs, crossing her arms over her chest.

Rodney frowns, realizing what he said, "Aurora-"

"I don't even know my kind, for all I know, I am the only one of my kind. Werewolves can't read minds, your kind are always rude and disrespectful to me. I can hear what you're thinking, even if you don't say it out loud. You think I don't know what you all think of me? That I'm a mind reading freak, I'm a fang banger, spreading my legs for a vampire."

Rodney frowns more, Aurora could see that he regretted what he said, "Rorie, I'm-"

Aurora interrupts the blonde cook before he could finish, "Have fun on your date."
