Chapter Seven

It was a hot morning at the Copperbottom's residence, and Aurora was already outside. She was cutting the grass, she didn't care that it was getting hot. The witch had already washed her car, took out the trash, and now she's finishing up with cutting the front yard.

At this hour, Aurora would be inside and drinking a cup of coffee with her brother. Though lately, she has been filled with more energy, thanks to drinking Alex's blood. She was hoping this would drive down her libido, but it did nothing to release her sexual tension with the gladiator vampire... the witch sighs and continues to cut the grass.

"Aurora! What are you doing out here? It's not even noon and it's already 90 degrees! Here." Mrs. Copperbottom said as she walks to her, she passes Aurora a glass of ice water. The witch gladly accepts it and drinks it down, surprising her mother.

"Sweetie, what are you doing out here?"

Aurora gulps the last of her water, "I got up early, couldn't go back to sleep so I thought I should do something than be inside and do nothing."

"Well you certainly did a lot, come on in, your father has news from the pack." The witch follows her mother back inside and heads to the kitchen sink, splashing her face with cold water.

"What's up dad?" Rodney said as he entered the room.

"Bigweld has called an emergency meeting for today at noon, said he wants everyone there, has some important news."

Aurora turned to them, "I'll go with you guys, maybe it's about that killer. Has the police gotten any close to solving the case?"

Rodney shakes his head, "Fender told me there hasn't been any leads from the crime scenes."

Aurora sighs, she runs a hand through her hair.

"We're a small town, they must have a suspect."

"I'm sure the police are doing everything they can to find the killer." Mr. Copperbottom said, placing a hand on his wife's shoulder.

Rodney looks to Aurora, "You're going to come with us?"

The witch nods, "Yes, I want to hear what the alpha has to say."

The meeting was filled with anxious werewolves, Aurora could hear what they were thinking. They all wanted to know why Bigweld would call an emergency meeting. They were also thinking about Aurora, everyone there knew that she was dating Vampire Alex Walker.

Some of them believe that she had no right being there because she wasn't a werewolf. Some didn't want her there because she was dating a vampire. Aurora could hear each one of their thoughts.

No good fang banger, she should be ashamed of herself.

What a filthy slut, spreading her legs for a dead man.

This red head whore, she'll kill us all with her no good vampire ways.

Aurora sighs, getting more and more angry at the pack but she knows better than to retaliate back, so she waits till they have calmed down.

Bigweld enters the area and the pack bows, giving the alpha his respect. Bigweld approaches the pack, asking them to stand.

"I am proud of you all, many of you attended the vampire's speech. I know that wasn't easy, but it's a start to making amends."

The pack murmurs, not all of them agreed, Bigweld sighs, he knows there will be more disagreements.

"I have also made an agreement with Vampire Alex. We have both decided to form a temporary alliance, to work together to find the killer. In exchange, he will not hurt us, and we won't hurt him. If any wolf hurts the vampire, there will be consequences."
