Alex wrapped his arm around Aurora, he lifted her up as his arm wrapped securely around her waist. She twirled around in his arms, with her back against his chest as Alex picked her up and walked them backwards, his back hitting against a tree.

The car drove off fast, Aurora and Alex stared after the car.

The pair didn't notice that Alex still had a tight hold on her. Though Aurora didn't seem to mind, she unconsciously leans back into him, enjoying his touch.

Aurora thought he was warm, which wad very strange, were they not supposed to be cold? Aurora relished his touch. Never wanting Alex to let her go.

Alex thought the same, he didn't want to let her go. She felt wonderful in his arms, but sense came back to him, and Alex gently places Aurora back on the ground.

Aurora immediately missed his warm touch, she turned back to him. Alex had kneeled down to grab his phone that had fallen. Aurora closes her eyes, trying to read his mind.

"I can't hear you."

Alex looked up at her, confused.

"Uh... thanks?" Sarcasm dripped in his voice as he spoke, he figured she was insulting him.

"No really." She kneeled to him, cupping his cheeks. Once again, she felt his warm skin, she kept cupping his cheeks as Alex laid against the tree.

She smiled brightly at him, Alex was shocked at this. He watched her as she sat down beside him.

"Aren't you afraid to be out here alone with a hungry vampire?"

"There's nothing to be afraid of, if you wanted to hurt me, you would had. And besides, I may look naive but I'm not stupid." Aurora sat down on a log, she wraps a silver chain around her neck. She found it on the floor, she assumed those rednecks dropped it.

Alex chuckles, "I don't blame you for taking precautions... you said you couldn't hear me. What does that mean? What are you?"

"I'm a waitress." Aurora was quick to answer back. She became annoyed when he laughed at her.

"Is there something funny?"

"Well yes, because it's obvious that you're something much more than that."

Alex sat up and gets even closer to her, Aurora was surprised at this, but she didn't dare to move. Alex stares into her red fiery eyes.

"What are you?" The vampire asked in a low voice, Aurora stared intently in his eyes.

"I told you, I'm a waitress." Aurora spoke in a soft voice, she had to refrain from frowning when Alex sat back down.

A golden retriever ran to them and stood in front of Aurora.

The red head laughed, "Well hey dog!" She pet him as the dog stared at Alex, he barked at him. The dog made a sound resembling something of a growl. It was Alex's turn to raise his eyebrows.

"I think this dog is protecting you."

"Oh no, he's just a sweet dog, he has no owner but I like him."

"He most certainly likes you back." Alex noticed as the dog nuzzles into Aurora.

"He likes everyone." Aurora pet the dog one more time before the dog left.

"I think he was watching out for you."

"That might be true but I can handle myself."

"You're right about that, what you did... you wrapped that chain around his neck effortlessly. Might I ask how?"
