"Order up!" Rodney calls from the kitchen, he waits for his sister to pick up the plate. He smiles as he sees his red haired friend.

"Thanks Rodney." Aurora says, lifting up the plates as she gives him a small smile.

"Anything for you sis." Rodney turns back into the kitchen, he places more food on to plates.

Aurora Gray and Rodney Copperbottom have been friends since they were small children and met in preschool. After more than 15 years, their friendship is more stronger than ever. The Copperbottoms took in Aurora Gray after her parents died when Aurora was 6 years old. Mr and Mrs Copperbottom saw Aurora as their own child, the daughter they never had. Rodney saw Aurora as his own sister.

Even though she looked different, with her red head and red eyes, which are very rare, the Copperbottoms saw Aurora as their own. They are a family of werewolves, and she was a witch she knew many spells and magic. She could also read minds, she assumed that her being a witch, gave her the ability to read people's minds. The Copperbottoms didn't seem to mind it, but Aurora knew they didn't like it deep down. How could she not know? She could read their minds after all. Who would like it if someone read their mind? Aurora could read their deep and most personal thoughts. She doesn't try to, but she can't control it fully yet.

Aurora delivers the plates of food to a table, the mother and father talk intently about their son's school. Their son was not interested with their conversation. He laid back into the booth, with his arms crossed over his chest.

They haven't shut up since the minute we sat down. I don't know why they're even talking about my school with their shitty teachers. I can't wait to get the Hell out of this shitty town. I wouldn't have to take this crap.

"I thought the same thing, I hope you do, cause once you say that, you come up with excuses and they get in the way and it stops you." Aurora said as she placed down the last plate of food, she adjusted her waitress outfit. The young teenager looked up at the red head with shock.

What the Hell? It's like she knew what I was thinking...

Aurora immediately caught her slip up and smiled at the teenager.

"You want a refill? Sweet tea?" Aurora picked up his cup, the teenager continued to look strangely at Aurora, but eventually nodded his head.

Aurora left and went back to the kitchen, she asked Rodney for a refill and waited patiently for her drink.

"Sam must be grateful you were able to work tonight, we got a full house."

"We're always busy, but I don't mind working because I like to cook." Rodney smiles at Aurora, she smiles back.

"That's true, but I hope he's not working you too hard, you deserve a break. I feel like my feet are about to fall off, we keep getting more and more customers." Aurora quips back to Rodney.

"If that's true, all you have to do is talk to Sam. I'm sure he'll let you leave for the night, with your puppy dog eyes." Rodney teases her.

"Rodney, he is our boss. That's very inappropriate." Aurora said a bit more sternly than necessary, but she had to make her point.

"And our boss is helplessly in love with you. Admit it." Rodney passes her the refilled drink of ice tea.

"I think it's funny you poke into something that's not even there but you never want to talk about your love life." Aurora picked up her cup, she never understood why her brother didn't date. He had all the qualities of a boyfriend, strong, caring, and yes, he is a werewolf, waiting to imprint on a wolf. Once that happens, he will never have to date again, he will be with his love. But that doesn't mean he couldn't date in the meantime.
