I promised myself a little more than 2 years ago when I first started this story (fun fact it was originally called fear) that I would finish it and I'm extremely proud to say that I did. It took time. Sometimes I took really long breaks where I didn't update for a while because I was really busy but this story was always on the back of my mind. I knew I needed to finish it.

I know it seems like a sudden ending but it has been planned from almost the beginning. I wrote the ending scene in my notes app on my phone on 9/6/18. From then to now, I only had to make a few little changes when editing the final chapter. That's so surreal to me. I remember writing it and thinking "you guys are going to hate me for this!!" (lmao please don't be afraid to tell me your opinion!! I love to know what you guys think!)

Anyway, this is how Raven's story was meant to end and it's bittersweet to me that her story has finally concluded. (especially in the way that it did)

I want to thank every single one of my readers, whether you've read from the beginning or have just recently found this story, for taking the time to read my words and actually care about them. I started off writing this for myself because I didn't think anyone cared about the 5th wave anymore but you guys proved me wrong. This story became something more than just for fun. I wrote for not just myself but for you too.

I know that it's just a fanfiction but this story has truly become a part of my life. I hope that you enjoyed Raven's journey and I can't thank you enough for going on it with me and her.

Know that I appreciate every single view, vote, and comment! (Especially the comments! I literally will die of laughter reading them or smile big from your support—there's really no in between!)

I'm not good with words so I hope this shows how much I love you guys and appreciate all your support!!

Goodbye Raven, Zombie, Squad 53 and, of course, Fire. It's been a wild ride these past 2 years.

p.s. overtime I will probably be editing this story *not the plot* but i will go through to fix grammatical errors and things of that nature that i missed when editing the chapters the first time around.

and no there will not be a sequel to "Fire"! (I'm sorry!! I'm sad about it ending too!!) but, I do have an original story coming soon so keep an eye out for that!
