Pride Parade (Happy Pride Month!)

Heyoo! Just a few quick notes before I start:

First of all, Happy Pride Month!!! It sucks that most parades and other things like conventions are canceled because of quarantine but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate!!

This one shot contains a sprinkle of ishimondo and a dash of Hagaleon (though it's more of a bromance), including other ships as well :D, I refer to Chihiro as male in these stories and I don't believe that he is transgender although he supports trans rights. Daiya is alive and well in this universe and has an apartment that he shares with Mondo when he's on vacation. There are mentioned headcannons of some character sexualities and gender identities, sorry if you dont agree with them! The characters from SDR2 are 3rd years, THH are 2nd years, and V3 are 1st years, most will make an appearance throughout the chapter UwU

Also, we're just going to ignore the fact that Japan's summer vacation starts in July and say it starts towards the end of June for the sake of plot (;;0w0) This is going to be a longer chapter so Enjoooyy!

Summer had just started for the students of Hope's Peak Academy, but most could still be found at the school, planning for the 3rd annual 'Hope's Peak Pride Celebration'.  Apparently, a group of students from the 76th class came up with the idea last year since there were none in the area to begin with, and Principal Kirigiri approved of the idea after a little convincing. It turned out great with very few problems so the school hosted it again even after the class graduated.

It made sense that Hope's Peak Academy, the school filled with many of the most creative and colorful groups of students would host a Pride Parade, no one else was going to do it anyway. There were of course some protests with a few of the students and other people who lived in the city, as Japan wasn't the most accepting,  but this parade was going to happen, dang it!

This year in particular, the students were planning on contributing their ultimate talents more to create an even better experience for everyone. There would be games, booths, food, and of course the actual parade itself which out stretch all the way to the center of the city and back.

"Alright, that just about wraps up the meeting for today, thank you everyone for coming today despite it being your vacation, I'll be seeing you all tomorrow for the final preparations." Mr. Kirigiri smiled as he ended his meeting with the student council and other volunteers helping with the celebration.  

"I must also thank you all! With all of your help, we can make this celebration even better than last year and hopefully set an example for the future generations to express themselves freely!" Taka, who was head of the student council, saluted and gave a respectful bow towards the rest of the students in the auditorium, and began to pack up for the day.

Most of the preparations were complete and the students were separated by the nature of their talents or personality to make the events for the guests of the parade. Ibuki had elected herself as the 'official team name giver'. The teams were The Athletic Army, The Show-Offs, Super Duper Entertainers, The Arty Party, The Party Animals, Queer Queers, and The Only Sane Ones.

The Athletic Army were the students with more sporty talents, which included Leon, Aoi, Sakura, Nekomaru, Akane, Peko, Tenko, and Ryoma(reluctantly). They had eventually decided on a relay race and a pride themed obstacle course for the guests to go through to win prizes, it wasn't much, but they knew it would add a fun challenge to the celebration. They would also serve as the hype men for the other events.

The Show-Offs were the group of students in charge of making the parade as big and flashy as possible, the responsibility was placed on Mondo, Junko, Fuyuhiko, Sonia, Kazuichi, Miu, Kokichi, Kaito, and K1-B0. While they were all more than capable for the job, everyone in the group had some kind of beef with each other, which resulted in many (extremely loud) arguments. Thankfully, it didn't effect the planning and designing of the parade too much.
