Y/n's POV
Daryl and I spent all night laughing and talking about life. We'd spent almost every single day together since he forced Rick to take me in. Even though we knew most everything about each other, there were still mysteries behind his eyes. Something in the way he looked at me, it felt scary. Like he didn't know what I was going to do next. Even if I told him. Everything was simple. I lost my notebook, I think Daryl took and hid it, but who knows.
"Rise and shi- you guys are still awake?" Glenn popped the hatch on the floor and Daryl and I nodded. I was laying on his chest and playing with his hands, his back leaned against the corner off the room and knee up for his arm to rest on. My back to his chest, and gently playing with his hands.
"She slept all yesterday, then again twice last night." Daryl kissed my head. I smiled slightly giggling and Glenn raised an eyebrow, pulling himself in. Maggie following right behind.
"Now, the silent and the redneck. Not a sight I'd ever think to see." Maggie eyed me and I smiled slowly looking down.
"She's not silent." Daryl nudged me and I looked back up nodding. Both Glenn and Maggie laughed and shrugged.
"You two seem to talk- a lot." Glenn squinted at us. I sunk back into Daryl. I felt intimidated by the stare of them both.
"Yeah, what's goin on between y'all?" Maggie pointed a finger between us and I looked up at Daryl. He looked down at me smiling.
"I guess you could sa-" Before Daryl could finish speaking we heard gunfire from down below. Maggie dropped down back onto the later quickly climbing down. We all followed suit Daryl being last. When we got to the bottom we saw a van drive through the front gate. Realizing walkers into the court yard. Daryl held me back by the waist as I spotted Michonne in the field. I squinted seeing a white truck out in the field on the outskirts. Glenn and Maggie ran to the prison to go check everyone out. Daryl and I stood watching.
"Hershel." I swallowed and pointed to the one legged man trying to get to the fence before the walkers attack him. I found myself running towards Hershel with my gun in hand. Walkers surrounded him, guns fired all over me and I just kept running.
"Y/n, you need to go." Hershel yelled out to me as he shot a walker. I pulled out my gun and stood next to him shooting them. My heart was racing.
"No, we'll fight together." I barely made out the words and Hershel was just as shocked as me. We slowly made our way to the gate, shooting one walker at a time. As we made our way to the gate the shooting ended, the back and fourth rounds quickly came to an end. Walkers came in close, gunfire from the safe half of the prison helped us. Carl opened up the gate for us to come in and I huffed as we went inside. It was quickly locked behind us. Maggie and Beth quickly took to Hershel. Hugging him and looking him over. My eyes laid on Daryl who was already looking me over, I smiled at him and he shook his head.
"That was stupid." Daryl checked my arms and legs turning me around and everything. I watched the worry slowly drain from his face as he looked me over.
"What if he died?" I whispered and Daryl gave me a stern look. I threw it back at him and he wasn't happy about it.
"What if he hadn't and was just fine without your help?" Daryl's hands cupped my cheeks and I half smiled. I slowly brought my hands up to his and he couldn't help but to smile.
"I did what I had to." I mumbled as he brought me into his chest for a hug. I inhaled his scent and sighed. "Forgive me?" I pulled back and looked up at him.
"I'd never not forgive you." Daryl planted a small kiss on my lips. I giggled and smiled planting another on his. Upon hearing someone 'awe' at us we split apart and faced the noise. It was Glenn who was smiling at us like we are children.
"So, back to that conversation..." Glenn smiled as he wrapped an arm around Maggie's waist. I looked up at Daryl and he shrugged.
"I guess you could say I really really like her." Daryl smiled as he kissed my head. My heart skipped a small beat and I nodded. "And she really really likes me."
"So y'all are dating?" Maggie looked between us and I looked at Daryl before nodding. She smiled and kissed Glenn on the cheek. "I'm glad but Y/N, hurt him and I'll hurt you."
"Okay." I said shyly and Maggie's mouth dropped. Glenn's too. Daryl laughed and planted a kiss on my head.
"She speaks!" Maggie called out and cheered a bit. Daryl hushed them causing me to giggle.
"I just don't like loud." I smiled and everyone around laughed. It was peaceful.

Later that night I sat around the table with everyone trying to figure out our next move.
"They attacked us today, what's to say they won't do it again?" Glenn spoke out while I ran a hand through my hair and sighed.
"We can't attack them." I spoke out and Daryl squeezed my hand, he does that more and more when I talk. "There are woman and children there."
"Damnit." Glenn kicked the table and I looked up at Rick.
"What do we do?" Daryl looked around for answers but, no one seemed to have any. I groaned and huffed.
"Why don't we go scout the place? Figure out the ins and outs, kill the Governor, if he's as bad as he seems then that's what we do." It was like a lightbulb had flashed when I spoke. Rick, Glenn, and Daryl all nodded. I smiled a victory smile and mentally cheered myself on. The next few days would be hard, but ultimately we were about to make it work.
