"You have got to be fucking kidding me!" I kicked the nightstand and ran a hand through my hair. "Alright, what's the plan?" I sighed as Daryl informed me of the problem at hand.
"Just- Let's go to the meeting, figure out the plan." Daryl and I jogged to Deanna's house and rushed in to see everyone already there.
"Now what I'm proposing sounds risky, but walkers are already slipping through the exits. One of the trucks keeping them in could go off the edge any day now. Maybe after one more hard rain. That exit sends them East, all of them. Right at us. This isn't about if it gives, it's about when. It's gonna happen. That's why we have to do this soon." Rick explained as Daryl and I leaned up against a near wall listening.
"This is- I don't even have another word for it- this is terrifying. All of it. But, it doesn't sound like there's any other way." Carol looked around. She was highly respected and everyone saw her as a mother or grandmother.
"Maybe there is. I mean, couldn't we just build up the weak spots? I could draw up plans, I worked on the wall with Reg. Construction crew- we can try and make it safe." And unfamiliar man spoke up and was right out afraid.
"Even if we could, the sound of them are drawing more and more everyday." Rick sighed and I looked up at Daryl. His face was strung out and his eyes looked heavy.
"We're gonna do what Rick says, the plan he's laid out." Deanna was looking out the window. She confirmed it.
"I told you all, we're gonna have Daryl leading them away." Rick pointed at Daryl. This was news to me. I looked up at him and he smiled nervously at me.
"I'll go too." Sasha volunteered and I felt relieved. She looked at me and smiled. She knew how I'd feel.
"I'll go too, that's a long way to white knuckle it alone." Abraham looked at Rick and then at me. I mouth 'Thank you' at them both and they nodded.
"We'll have two teams. One on each side of the forest helping manage this thing. We're gonna have a few people on watch from now on. Rosita, Spencer, and Holly. So they're out. So, who's in?" Rick asked while looking around.
"Me." Michonne volunteered. I raised my hand.
"If she's in I'm in." I looked at Daryl who wasn't pleased with my decision, but knew I wouldn't back down.
"Y/n, I want you in Alexandria. You'll be protecting everyone from anything that may go wrong." Rick nodded at me and I smiled.
"You're sure about this, right?" Daryl whispered in my ear. I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Are you?" I whispered too, he nodded. "Then I am. You better come home in once piece." I smiled and kissed his cheek again.
"You too, I want you to be at home the same way you left. No bites. Cuts. Scratches. Not even a scrapped knee." Daryl smiled and lifted his hand up to my chin for me to face him. He kissed me three times before we focused back on the conversation in front of us.
"We'll make this work. We'll keep this place safe. We will." Rick announced. I gripped Daryl's hand and took a deep breath.
"The plan. Go through it again." The man from earlier spoke again.
"Man, he just said it." Daryl spoke up and he glared in his direction.
"Every part again. The exact plan." The man looked up at Rick.

I pulled up Daryl's jacket and sighed. I helps onto his jacket looking at my hands. He brought his hands to cover mine causing em to look up at him.
