A few weeks later...
The Governor abandoned Woodbury. We took in all the survivors that stuck around and the prison became a safe place for everyone. Children, families, everything. It was so amazing. Daryl and I had Been more open about our relationship, he got me to talk to the group I originally joined. The group that I came into the prison with, they found their way back. Except instead of four it was two. Sasha and Tyrese. I found myself being screamed at by Sasha while Tyrese held her back from killing me. She has a strong vendetta towards me considering I got to stay here and she didn't. Tyrese forgave me, he usually just vented to me about things. He was the first to notice I don't talk. It was kind of funny. With the addition of people, a sickness is going around. Several people are dying from it, but luckily Daryl and I were fine. We were asked to just keep a look out. Eventually, we weren't needed. Leaving us to do basically whatever we wanted.
"What are we going to do today?" I pulled my shoes on as I looked at Daryl. He kissed my cheek and shrugged. "Thats not an answer."
"Well, what do you want to do?" Daryl laid his head in the crook of my neck and took a deep breath.
"We could see what herbs Hershel and Doc needs, go collect them. Maybe we can go on a drive?" I pushed Daryl off me and stood up making sure I looked okay.
"Why do you always like to do things in everyone else's best interest?" Daryl groaned and got out of bed. He quickly got ready for the day and looked at me.
"Why don't you?" I smiled as Daryl's hands landed on my waist. I trailed a finger up his chest and then lazily slung my arms around his neck. He smiled and slowly kissed me. His tongue worked perfectly with mine and he slowly backed us up to push me against the wall. He leaned his weight on me slightly more. His new move. When he slowly pulled away, I felt myself moving with his head, a small move I didn't know anyone could do to me.
"You are beautiful." Daryl smiled and I did too. I brought my head to the crook of his neck and he smiled as he hugged me to him. "We should get going."
"You've completely changed my mind now. I don't want to leave. I could do this all day." I groaned into his neck and he sighed.
"Well, you wanted too. So, we are." Daryl chuckled as I pulled away. I had a pouty look on my face.
"Fine. Let's go." I grabbed his hand and pulled as I stepped towards the door. Within seconds I was twirled right back into Daryl's chest. I laughed and he kissed my head.
"Okay, now we can go." This time Daryl took the lead. We walked down to the isolated block and knocked to talk to Hershel. He came out and smiled at us.
"Is there anything you need in there? Herbs, meds, whatever we can help." I smiled and spoke to Hershel he shook his head.
"Right now I just need to make sure no one else dies." Hershel smiled his old man smile and I nodded.
"Well, if you need anything. Have someone let me know." I smiled and Hershel nodded leaving.
"That was painfully short." Daryl chuckled and I shook my head. He looked at me with a smile on his face.
"What?" I smiled and looked at him as we walked. He took my hand in his, gently interlocking our fingers. I felt a warmth in my heart.
"Let's go." Daryl pulled me along. He pulled me outside and to the water station. He started filling up a bucket of water.
"Daryl what are-" Before I could finish speaking the bucket of water was poured on my head. I gasped and playfully hit Daryl's arm. "Jerk."
"You love me." Daryl smiled and I took the bucket.
"Nope. Go get me a towel." I sighed. He nodded and ran inside. I started filling up the bucket. Once it was filled I waited to the side of the entrance for Daryl to come out. When he did I poured the bucket over his head. I tossed the bucket to the side and smile. "Pay backs a bitch."
"You're on." Daryl dropped the towels and I started to run the other direction. He chased me and I saw Carol cooking at the food station. I ran over there and hid on the opposite end of her. "Get over here!"
"We're even!" I called back and Carol looked confused. She looked between us. I looked behind me and then back at Daryl.
"Can I understand what's happening here?" Carol raised an eyebrow and looked at us. I squinted my eyes at Daryl and ran away. "Or not."
"C'mon! Get back here!" Daryl yelled as I ran through the doors of the prison and through the cafeteria. Rick was in there and he was just as confused. I jumped over a table and yet again Daryl was on the other side.
"You won't win this one." I huffed and and smiled. He shook his head and jumped over the table. I ran over next to Rick and used him as protection.
"What the hell is going on? Why are you two wet?" Rick looked at us and Michonne came in looking at us the same.
"Wet-head." Daryl looked at me and I gasped.
"I'll get you for that one Dixon." I squinted my eyes and moved around Rick and went after Daryl. He grabbedAzs me by the waist.
"I win." He let out a laugh and I ran a hand through his wet hair.
"Not yet." I kissed him on the cheek and pulled out of his grasp running away yet again. I ran up the stairs and to the end of the hall. I was trapped. My only option was to lock myself in a cell or jump.
"No other options." Daryl took a step forward and I stepped to the rail and looked down. "Don't do that."
"I spent my childhood running from the cops. I've been doing this a long time. Sorry." I waved and vaulted over the railing. I landed on my toes, I ended in a Spider-Man position. "Holy shit I actually did it."
"Y/N!" Daryl yelled and came running down the stairs. I took of running again. I went back through the Cafeteria and through outside. When I looked behind me Daryl was gone. I walked to Carol.
"Have you seen Dixon?" I asked her and she shrugged.
"I thought he was over there." Carol pointed and I groaned walking over that direction. I was about to turn the corner when I felt my waist get grabbed from behind. I gasped and put my leg behind whoever it was and kicked. Cashing us both to fall back. I slipped out of their grasp and looked at who it was, Daryl.
"Oh shit. I'm so sorry." I gasped and helped him up. He laughed and pulled me into a hug.
"God, you are perfect." Daryl was red, I just knew it. He smiled and kissed my head.
"You two, are gross." I heard a female voice and I turned towards it, laying my head on Daryl's chest.
"You just wait until the ship sails, Michonne. You'll be the same way." I winked at her and she scrunched her nose. I laughed and got weird looks from everyone. "What?"
"The ship?" Daryl asked and I looked up at him.
"Oh, right you guys didn't have kids. So, a ship sailing is like two people you foresee getting together- the ship- actually getting together- sailing-." I smiled and looked at Michonne.
"Who am I supposed to be with?" She squinted her eyes and I shook my head. "You're not gonna tell me?"
"No, I think I'd like to leave you in the dark." I smiled bright, almost grinning. Daryl chuckled. "What?"
"So," Daryl kissed my nose. "Did we get on a ship and sail away?"
"I don't know, I don't decide. The people do." I held a great big grin. Daryl looked around and saw no one.
"Who are the people?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. I chuckled.
"Anyone who wanted us to get together before we did. Like- well," I looked up and kissed him slightly. "I did, just a bit."
"I did too." Daryl leaned down kissing my lips gently. I smiled gently running my hands up his chest and around his neck.
I knew something I didn't ever think would happen, I was falling for this man. Nothing would stop that now.
