When I arrived at the show venue in Boston, I was nervous. This was going to by my first time working with a new crew. The idea of meeting a whole bunch of new people and figuring out how to seamlessly fit in was intimidating.

"Alright, here we are." The driver said as he pulled up to the venue's loading dock. I looked around and noticed tour busses and equipment rigs.

"Yeah, I guess so." I said softly. I grabbed my bag from the seat next to me and started to sling it over my shoulder as I sent Craig a text letting him know I arrived.

"Here you go ma'am." The driver said as he unloaded my suitcase from the trunk.

"Thank you so much." I said with a smile and handed him a tip. I watched him climb back into the car and drive off.

"No turning back now." I muttered to myself. And suddenly my phone began to buzz. It was Craig. After a quick conversation he said he would come out and meet me.

This gave me a few moments to just stand there with my thoughts. I couldn't help wonder what Porter was doing. Did he even know I was gone? I shook my head when I realized; how could he? It would probably take him a while to notice. If ever. My heart sank at the thought.

"Kate!" I heard someone call. My head snapped in the direction of the voice and I saw Craig jogging towards me.

"Hey!" I called back with a small wave and walked towards him.

"Welcome to the shit show!" He said with a grin and held out his hand. I laughed and gave him a quick handshake.

"Oh, I'm sure you have it all under control." I replied. He just snorted and laughed in return.

"Oh, just you wait" He said with a smirk.

Craig led me into the venue and to the backstage area, introducing me to everyone along the way. He eventually led me to the crew tour bus and showed me my bunk and where I could keep my things. I was used to touring in hotels, so the tour bus was a new thing for me. But that's what happens when you work for a group that is constantly on the road. I could already tell this was going to be different. The pace was faster, the team was larger. I just hoped I could keep up.

"So we actually have an all-hands meeting in about a half hour in the main green room I just showed you." Craig said as we walked out from the bunk area of the bus into the small living area, "I'll let you catch your breath for a minute and then want to just meet me there?" he asked.

"Sounds good!" I said with a smile.

"Alright, I'll see you there." He said and descended the small steps leading out of the bus. Once he reached the bottom, he turned around to face me. "Oh...and Kate...I'm sure we do things a little differently than what you're used to. So don't be too hard on yourself at first, alright? We all go through our learning period." He said with a sincere look.

"Thanks, Craig," I replied, "I promise not to be too hard on myself. But I also promise to learn quickly."

"That's the spirit," he chirped, "see you in 30!"

I just laughed and nodded my head in response. I heard the bus door shut and was left alone after a whirlwind of introductions and a crash-course into my responsibilities for this tour. My job would be to help coordinate press and interviews, so I would be working closely with the PR and management team. It was a small fraction of what I would help Porter with. But with such a big team, there were more specialty jobs for The Chainsmokers. I would be going into more depth in the PR world, and for that, I was excited.

Suddenly I heard the door open again and a face appeared over the stairs railing. It was one I hadn't been introduced to yet. A girl who looked to be about my age with dark curly hair and warm brown eyes.
