I was glad to see November back with a good mood

I was glad to see November back with a good mood. Of course the reason is Omer.

It took three hours before he left and he would have stayed if Leon had not shown up claiming that he wanted to spend some time with his daughter. With no arguments, he said goodbye and left them alone. I don't know if they noticed, but I did. Disappointment was written on his face when he left.

That is why I approached him when he was about to leave.

"Did you have a good time?"

"Yes. I guess my mom was right." When I raised my brows in confusion he continued "She told me that I will thank her later when I come back."

"And will you?"

"I guess so. She made me realize how I missed playing and she is the best partner one could ever wish for." I smiled when I remembered their laughter and curses when either one of them lost or won.

Now, November and I are trying to make something for Leon before he comes out of the shower. I will have to thank Edna later because of her matchmaking, I was conversing peacefully with Nov. And I must say, this is something to celebrate.

We are trying to make a vanilla cake for desert, from a YouTube tutorial because we have never done this before and also for safety. Because from what I remember, every time that I went in the kitchen, I always burnt something. One day, I almost burnt the whole house. That made my mom ban me from the kitchen.

And I don't want to embarrass myself in this house by burning something. Luckily, Nov brought up the idea to use tutorials because she was also not used to it.

We managed to put everything together. Grinning at our work, we put the batter in an oven and waited patiently for 30 min. When it was ready we took it to the table.

Five minutes later, Leon came to the kitchen angry. Very angry that you could see the redness in his face when he approached us.

"Nov, we have to talk." He said with all seriousness causing Nov and me to look at each other in confusion. She followed him to the living room and they sat down.

"What's wrong daddy? Why do you look so angry? Why...."

"Is Tristan Williams, your boyfriend?"

"Yes, but we..."

"Do you know that he was arrested because of drug dealing?"

"What!?" she exclaimed. "I had no idea! And besides, we recently broke up."

"Don't lie to me. Because the consequences will be increased. From now on, you are going to study abroad in Switzerland." Then she started to cry telling him that she was not aware of anything to which he didn't want to listen. He left her there and went back to the room without even bothering to eat dinner.

I followed him, ready to bring some sense to his brain. He cannot treat her like that when he is the only parent she has to support her.

Flashback✳

I was coming from the shower when my phone rang, displaying an unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Is this Leon Smith?"

"Yes. Who is this?"

"I'm the principal of your daughter's school and I have some bad news." That got my full attention.

"What's wrong?"

"There is a boy named Tristan Williams, who happens to be her boyfriend, got arrested last night because of drug dealing. And I was making you aware so that you can protect your daughter before the same fate happens to her." I was beyond shocked to think that my daughter could be involved in those kind things. I quickly thanked her and hung up. I needed to talk to her.

End of flashback

Now having confirmed that she is indeed involved with that man, I was very angry. What didn't I do to raise her well. If Liza were here, she would have been so disappointed. I took my phone and searched for the best boarding schools in Switzerland. Then Emily entered looking pissed. Well, that makes the two of us.

"Leon, I understand that you want to protect your daughter. But sending her away is not the solution."

"I know what I am doing and what I think is best for her. So don't question my decision!" I roar.

"Listen, this is not the best solution. She needs it. You are the only parent she is left with, don't abandon her!"

"I'm not. I'm just taking care of her. And you are not her parent. So let me do what I have to do." I immediately regretted my words because of the hurt look on her face. Damn and it killed me seeing her like this. "Emily, I didn't..."

"No, don't worry. You have a point. I'm not her mother or anyone to make you change your mind." She left the room quietly but angrily.

Why do I feel bad? Am I doing a wrong thing?
