He was right. His words made me realize that I had broken one of the rules. If it is not all.

Kissing him. Check.

Going to his mother's. Check.

Having a good relationship with Nov. Check.

Falling for him. Check.

Wait what? Must be my mind playing tricks on me. I cannot have fallen for him!

I was walking alone in the busy streets of New York. Outside it was chilly and as the November air blew, I hugged myself to warm myself. Just what I needed to clear my head. I sat on a nearby chair and recalled all the events since I left my mother's house. I can't believe it's barely two weeks. I thought of every way possible to leave Leon's life for good to no avail.

I decided to go back before I exploded with thoughts. I walked back to the house and when I reached there I found Nov sitting in the living room sobbing. I approached her but before I could do or say anything, she got away from me.

"Hey, it's me."

"I know very well it is you and I know what you are trying to do." She sniffed and glared at me. What happened? We were okay a few hours ago! So what changed.... I immediately understood when I saw Stephanie smirking. That witch has been filling her head with some bad ideas.

I turned back to Nov and said, "Look, I did not do anything. And for your information, I tried to convince your father so that he can let you stay here."

"Like I could believe you. I don't even know why I agreed to make peace with you." With that she got up and went hurriedly to her room.

Well then. Time to face the witch.

"Finally you are seeing that coming into this house was a bad idea. It has been barely two months here, you are already destroying the relationship between the dad and the daughter."

Just one more word and I completely lose my self control.

"But what do you gain in doing this? Do you want perhaps to be in my place? Do you want to be called Stephanie Smith?" I emphasized on the name and I saw her shift uncomfortably and I got the message.

This was her dream.

"No.... Of course not. Why would I want that?"

"Don't know. Maybe that is why you have been sticking around for long - you want some kind of recognition. If you treat me nice, I may help you achieve your goal!" I smiled wickedly as she looked at me with horror registering on her face. To say I was satisfied was an understatement. Finally, I found something to blackmail her with. Then I went upstairs, leaving her still in shock.

My smile vanished immediately when I remembered Leon's words before I left. I opened the door quietly and I found him seating on a black couch lost in thoughts. Only when I stood in front of him, did he notice me.
