Justin's POV

I haven't spoken to Rose in a couple of days since we had our argument about her wanting to work for Reid Publishing's. The last thing she had said to me was that she would walk away from me, she would actually leave me.

She didn't understand the circles that I moved in, why wouldn't she just listen to me about what I was saying to her about Adam Reid. I've met him before and I know exactly what he is like and how sleazy he is, he makes my old ways look a saint compared to him.

He has bribed his assistants into sleeping with him and then blackmailed them into doing things for him and manipulating people by filming the proof. He cheats on all his gold digging girlfriends who continue to stay with him anyway and he tries to sleep with most of his employees. Not to mention that he is into a massive drugs business and is constantly off of his face.

I know he would hire Rose within a second, or his minions would anyway. Because she's so fucking beautiful, he only hires people who are easy on the eye. She thinks that she would never see him, but he walks around his offices just to try and find the next girl to fuck.

Bile rises to my throat at the thought of another man even trying to touch Rose, let alone trying to sleep with her. She just doesn't understand that I'm trying to protect her, but she just thinks I'm possessive.

Well, maybe I am but that's not the point.

If Reid found out that my girlfriend was starting at his firm, the torture would begin. He would actively set out to destroy everything I had with Rose. That may be because I fucked him over in a massive business deal with Bieber Enterprises.

I just know she is going to book a flight out to New York City and go to the interview no matter what I say. She thinks I'm just over exaggerating.

I don't want to control her life, but I want to keep away from any amount of danger that I can and she doesn't understand my frustration with it.

I was writing an email to one of my partner companies in regards to a new business opportunity, but I couldn't concentrate. All I could concentrate on was the fact that my girlfriend hadn't spoken to me in two fucking days.

"Fuck" I shout, slamming down the lid on my Mac Book and running my hands through my hair.

I was going to need to try and apologize to her, come to some sort of agreement. Why couldn't she just work somewhere else? I knew the answer to that really, because no matter how much of a scumbag Reid was it was an honor to work for that Publishing company if you wanted anything to do with journalism or publishing. They didn't take just anybody.

"Rose" I call, walking out of my office. I was hoping she was still in the apartment. Yesterday she had gone out all day and refused to take any of my calls.

I frown as I get no response from her before starting to search my apartment for my brown haired, blue eyed girl.

I find her sat in my wet room that has a pool, a balcony overlooking the city, the sauna, hot tub and multiple showers. My shoulders instantly relax knowing she is safe.

She's sat on one of the huge rattan style chairs reading a book with her glasses on. She looks so cute and smart with her glasses on, it turns me on slightly.

"There you are" I say, my voice echoing throughout the silent room. The only sound that can be heard is the occasional trickle of swimming pool water filtering into the drains.

She looks at me, before letting a small sigh out of her perfect lips. She puts her bookmark into the crease of the book and closes it before pushing her glasses up on top of her head.
