At Mama's old shack where the stars we could see?
Remamber the breeze, how it messed your perfect hair?
How the waves pushed and pulled causing a harmonious blare?
That night we danced and danced till our legs gave way.
I got lost in your eyes as your gaze took me far, far away
To a euphoric world made of reciprocate love.
A love so surreal, one only you and I could have.
Endeared, I was when we raced by the shore.
I was a tad too excited but I hoped it didn't show.
You hugged me when you won, even though I had let you
Your touch was erogenous, but you seemed to have no clue.
What happened to our love? How'd it fade so fast?
You left me a broken man full of heartbreak and angst.
The deepest of cuts is how quickly you moved on.
Yet two years later I still wallow in forlorn
Memories of you still plague my reveries and dreams
I can't rid myself of you so it seems
If I could have you near for just one more day,
I would ask you to teach me how to move on....... Goodbye.
