BANG, BANG, BANG! Thats when  we  all jumped awake, to me the ruckus sounded like it had travelled down the hill to us from the top of the ridge, so that's where we headed to. As we all soundlessly climes the hill Conner drifted to beside me " looks like our wariness payed of he whispered to me "what ever was shot could have been us" I glanced at him noticing the fear in his eyes " don't worry it's probably just a hunter" I whispered back, stepping over a fairly large branch that had fallen from a tree above. I ran a a couple silent strides forwards and tugged on fletchers cloak
"fletch Conners worried about what's up ahead why don't you go walk with him, he looks up to you!"I whispered into his ear,he just shook his head and glanced behind him at the boy now walking alone "you really are something, you know that right miss Marcy Atlanta Mackelen"
He said a soft smirk on his lips, "I'll go talk to him" and with his last remark he slowed his pace to walk with the fearful boy. When we go to the meadow at the top of the ridge, where we were supposed to camp, we found three dead English soldiers and one dead Irish man that's when there was an inhuman screech from behind me and Conner raced forwards and fell to his knees beside a tall light haired English guard and started sobbing, i kneeled beside and picked him up and gently carried him away from the dead man while holding tight to my body, my shoulder was becoming incredibly damp, but it didn't matter I knew what kind of grief he was facing, even though he was shunned by his family. Aiden cautiously walked up to me and gently pried the boy away from my body, he got on his knees and looked the boy in the eyes sympathy shining in his glassy green gaze, "who was that man" he prompted Conner in a soft voice
"that was my father, and my two uncles" he said his voice trembling with regret, and sadness, they were looking for me
"What do you mean they were looking for you?" Kaltians voice questioned
" I mean I wasn't really shunned I just wanted to go on a adventure, I got lost and then you found me at the beginning of that trail" he cried out
"oh honey" I whispered with a quick glance at all the men standing behind him.
The night was long but soon morning arrived and we packed up camp, we had buried the guards and the Irish man we assumed who had killed them soon after we found them and had sent a prayer for them to get to safely to Tír na Meala, the land of honey.  That morning we were all silent and trudged slowly alone the trail the atmosphere consumed with sadness
"We have only and hour or two until we get to Diarmuids later" Darragh said jogging up to my side
" good as much as I've grown to love you guys Like brothers" I sick of feeling helpless and like a burden to you guys
"Your no burden your like our younger sister, although we have only known each other for a few days, you should come back and join us in our adventures" fondness lacing his voice but sadness in his eyes, I hugged him and ran up ahead to walk beside fletcher, Kaltain and Conner. As we met the top of the next ridge we paused and looked into the valley below, wait a second I practically screamed that's my farm down there, I could never forget what it looks like, with the dark wood on one side and the mighty cliffs on the other. I looked questioningly at Kaltain, " he lives deep in the woods" he exclaimed quickly noticing the anger behind my eyes "well then tally hoe boys" I say sarcasm dripping from my voice, I start walking down the steep hill only to Trip, fall and roll down the rest of the grassy slope while male laughter bounced off the tiny valley rebounding back to us.
