I wake up to the violent shaking of my shoulders, I swat at whatever was shaking my shoulder, my eyes closed
"Come on Marcy get up" I hear Conner mumble " you have to go, Diarmuid has the portal open" with that I shoot up, hitting my head on conners head in the process.
"Sorry I didn't mean to do that" I laugh out
With that he heads out of the room and I brush out my hair and change into some new cloths with the brush and spare clothes  Diarmuid gave me. When I'm ready I swipe the duffle bag full of supplies I might need on my journey in to Tír na nÓg and head out to the study so I can head through the portal. When I reach the study I see everyone standing around it ready to say goodbye for now before I head to the cliffs near Dublin with the unicorn, I give the men who are now like brothers tight hugs and grab the unicorn from Conner who was holding it still by holding the reigns on the bridle that's they must have found somewhere in the old barn outside and give him a loving hug
I turn towards the men
"Behave and keep each other safe" I say mocking a stern tone a smile tugging at my lip. I spin on my heels back towards the portal and leap through unicorn in tow. When I got to the other side of the portal the sky was dark and the hill and forest surrounding the cliff are shrouded in a grey ominous mist that consumed everything it touched, something wasn't right. I hopped onto the unicorns back and galloped her towards the cliff edge, with a swift movement her hooves pushed us over cliff  and down towards the sea. As the sea grew closer to us my life started to flash before my eyes and I started to doubt everything I saw, then we hit water but there wasn't any pain and there wasn't a sickening crack of bodies breaking like I started to think there would be, instead when we hit water it caught us and the on e fierce ocean waves calmed immediately, the only indication we weren't walking on something solid was the occasional soft tumble of wave under what could only be described as a blanket. In the distance there was a missive island and I decided to head towards it I looked down the side of the unicorn and saw the soft ocean surface dip slightly under our weight with each step the unicorn took, sense if we were in to immediate danger I tapped the flank of the unicorn to urge her into a trot so we could get to the island faster. As we trotted down the clear blanket that coated the ocean I noticed that the closer we got to the island the more magical the sea-life became, creatures that were simple, dull greys, white, and black suddenly obtained streaks of cerulean and royal blues, shiny golds and each scale silver scale shimmered like stars in the darkest hour of the night. Then things that weren't even from this world started to show up, creatures from myth like mer-people and kelpie although I shouldn't be surprised I'm riding a unicorn to a mythical land to save my siblings who were kidnapped by the king of Tír na nÓg. When I reached the shore I noticed the island was covered in vines and trees that were not native to Ireland and the isles surrounding it, and in that moment the name made a lot of sense it really was paradise for those used to bare lands, sparse forests, and cold winds.
