Sonic's band story with Afterglow pt 8

In the studio lounge:
Ran gets a call from Tomoe.
Ran: Uh-huh. Okay. Got it. .....
Moca: That was Tomo-chan? What did she want?
Ran: She said Tsugumi collapsed.
Moca: What?!
Ran: Sonic took her to the hospital while Tomoe and Himari are getting there. They think it's stress related.
Moca: Wow. No rehearsal today, then.
Ran: Yeah.
Moca: .....
Ran: .....
Moca: Let's go home.
Ran: Yeah.

In the hospital:
Tomoe: We're heading home now. Please, take care of her.
Nurse: Don't worry, your friend is taking care of her right now.
Himari: Sonic.
Nurse: He stayed in the hospital for a while waiting for her to wake up.
Tomoe: He must've really care about Tsugu, huh?
Himari: Yeah. I guess you could say he likes her.
Tomoe: Maybe so. I was so scared seeing her fall like that... I'm just glad it's nothing serious. They said she'll be out in two or three days.
Himari: Yeah...
Tomoe: Himari?
Himari: I saw her fall and... my mind just went blank... Hearing you shout for the ambulance snapped me out of it, but... I completely panicked. That's no good at all... I need to do better. I could see she was tired recently... I should have told her to rest more...
Tomoe: Himari, I was just so glad to have you by my side. If it was just me, I wouldn't have known what to do either. It was knowing you were there with me that let me do what I did. You know more than anyone, Himari. I'm not as strong as people think. You shouldn't beat yourself up over this. Come on. Smiles.
Himari: H-Hyuu! T-Tomoe! Stop pulling my cheeks!
Tomoe: Haha, sorry, sorry. I just don't want you looking all sad like that.
Himari: You'd rather see me angry?!
Tomoe: I mean, at least you look funny when you're angry.
Himari: Hmph! Stupid Tomoe!

In room 5 in the hospital:
Sonic was on the chair as he was thinking about Tsugumi.
Sonic: (Tsugumi... it's almost dark now. I should probably get going. They said she'll be out for two or three days.)
Sonic puts his hand on her head.
Sonic: Just get better okay...? When you get better, I have something to tell you. Sonic gets up as he looks back at Tsugumi. Sonic closes the door as he gets out of the hospital.

Walking home:

Moca: Are you worried about Tsugu, too?
Ran: Yeah.
Moca: We're almost home.
Ran: .....
Moca: Umm...
Ran: This is me.
Ran walks away.
Moca: Okay. See you.
Sonic: Hey, Moca.
Moca: Sonic...
Sonic: Was that Ran?
Moca: Yeah... I feel bad for her. Having her dad forcing her to do whatever.
Sonic clenched his fists as he runs off.
Moca: Where are you going?
Sonic: I'm going to settle things with her dad.
Sonic runs away.
Moca: He's always there to save the day, huh?

In Ran's house:
Ran enters the house.
Ran: I'm back.
Ran's dad: Band practice, again?
Ran: So what if it was?
Ran's dad: I just think anyone who can't even handle flower arranging classes surely can't handle any other activities, either.
Ran: What are you saying?
Ran's dad: I'm saying that if you and your friends are just half heartedly playing some band fantasy, you should give it up already.
Sonic: That's not happening!
Sonic enters Ran's house.
Ran: S-Sonic...?
Sonic: This isn't some "fantasy," and you have no right to say that to her! She's not quitting the band, not ever!
Ran's dad: Who are you?!
Sonic: Ran's friend, and I won't let her quit!
Ran: S-Sonic...
Ran's dad: Oh you're just being rebellious. Where is this band going to take you? What about your flower arranging? You need to think more about reality, Ran.
Sonic: You need to think more about reality!
Ran's dad: Huh?
Sonic: You need to think more! You're forcing her to do this stuff! Ran isn't just someone to be force around, She's someone that you should be happy with! You should be happy she's doing something in her life! Because of that, us are worried about her! That band means everything to her!
Ran was shedding in tears.
Ran: Sonic...
Ran's dad: I had enough with you. You need to go, now!
Sonic stops as he opens the door.
Sonic: You're daughter there is not quitting, and she's more than that. Remember that. Sonic closes the door as he walks away.
Ran's dad: Man, that guy was annoying.
Ran: I have nothing more to say to you.
Ran goes up to her room.
Ran's dad: That girl.

In Ran's room:
Ran: (How dare he call it just some fantasy...! But still...)

Flashback:
Ran's dad: Oh you're just being rebellious. You need to think more about reality, Ran.
Sonic: She's not leaving the band! Ran isn't just someone to be forced around, she's someone you should be happy with!

End of flashback:
Ran: (Just being rebellious... Maybe he's right. Sonic... I'm sorry... I'm sorry...)
