Denki's POV

The BakuDekuSquads punishment was cleaning the grounds around our dorms. For a whole semester. It was only that bad because we happened to find Shinso. If we didn't we would have gotten expelled. I'm not complaining though. We're getting Shinso back. Tonight. Even if I have to save him myself.

Right now my main goal is going to visit Kirishima and Sero, who in my pursuit to find Shinso got hurt. This was all my fault and I want them to know that I'm sorry. I needed to get ready to go first. I packed a go bag, to sneak out later tonight. Despite getting grounded in all sense of the term, I needed to be there to help rescue Shinso.

Even if he most likely doesn't return my feelings. I couldn't live knowing I didn't do everything in my power to help him get home safe. Jirou helped me spy on the teachers earlier today and their plan on saving him. She plugged in one ear jack into the wall and the other into my phone. Via an adapter.

Eraserhead was leading the charge. After getting Shinso's location from Bakugou and Kirishima. He called the station to keep Toga's apprehension under wraps. They couldn't risk LOV finding out she'd gotten arrested. The heroes are going to raid the area and rescue Shinso tonight.

Easy enough plan except it's in a power plant. My territory. Plus if they blow anything there, the city will be in a blackout and a forest might burn down. I need to be there to stop that. It's the least I can do. There are no electricity hero's in Japan right now.

So my personal plan is to sneak out before everyone else gets there and be there to help. Try not to get seen by any of my teachers and only help if Shinso is about to get hurt or the live wires start falling.

First I needed to go visit Kirishima and Sero in Recovery Girl's office. As I was heading there I decided to get Sero his favorite snack, goldfish crackers. As I was at the vending machine in the hallway, Bakugou ran up to me.

"Denki, are you going to visit Kirishima?" He asked frantic, and out of breath. I nodded, confused by his demeanor. He thrust a letter into my hands, in red lettering it said "To Eijirou" on it. I sucked in a breath. Were they on a first name basis now? Are they finally getting together? Is this a confession?!

Then he ran off, flipping me off on the way. I shook my head and smiled at him. I don't even think he realized he called me by name. He's finally letting us and our ragtag gang into his cold dead heart. I picked up the cracker bag and headed to where Sero and Kirishima were.

I open the door and am confronted with the smell of bleach, and febreze. Two very chemical smells. I round the corner to the infirmary beds they have. Kirishima is up and has a bandage wrapped around his abdomen. Sero was laying on the bed and wrapped in gauze. My eyes start to water but I hold back the tears.

"Kirishima, this is for you from Bakugou." I said, handing him the letter. His ears turn pink upon hearing Bakugou's name and reading his name on the letter. He pretty much snatched it and ran off with a short "Bye" as a way of parting. Sero gave out a pained laugh. I handed him his snack, he only has one good arm as of now. I nudge him to scootch over. He did and I lay down next to him.

We said no words, but we slept and recovered from the previous night's events.

When I woke up again, Sero was still out cold and it was late afternoon and getting darker by the minute. The rain pounding on the windows. I slipped off the bed, trying my hardest not to wake him and grabbed my bag. As I was heading out the door Sero coughed.

"Denki are you leaving to find him?" He asked soft, it was hard to hear him over the rain. I gave him a pained smile.

"I have to Sero, I love him. I can't let him stay in that place with those people." I said, walking over and grabbing his good hand. He looked out the window.

"Don't die on me. Denki don't you die on me. You're my best friend and you're not leaving me here alone." He said. I fixed his hair. It was a wreck like mine usually is.

"I won't die bro. But, I won't let him either. If it's between my life and his, you know what I'll choose." I replied. I pretended I didn't see the tear slip out of his eye. He didn't respond at all, and with that I left. I didn't know what would happen tonight, or tomorrow, or next year. But, I did know what I was dead set on doing.

It took me two hours by bus to get to the stop at the edge of the forest. I had to walk two miles in the rain to get to the site.

It was almost another hour when the trucks pulled into view.
