Winter Assassin

It's been 5 months  since James and Rose were captured by the evil organization Hydra. Rose spends most of her time protecting James from Hydra. She gets punished from getting beaten to Hydra wiping her memory. Even though she doesn't always remember her younger brothers name she kept him safe, without a single thought. Her father (Bucky) is in Hydra too, but they hardly ever see each other. Only on missions, but the two of them were wiped afterwards. Sometimes Bucky would remember his two children and start freaking out. That's the main reason why Hydra wiped Bucky so much. The same thing went for Rose. James was never wiped as Hydra believed if they raised him the right way he would naturally start to forget or stop caring about his family or the anger from what Hydra is doing to his family and do better on his missions.

It was a dark, cold, winter night. Rose had just come back from a mission. She hated missions, that's when they wiped her. After they wiped her she was always confused. She never remembered her name, her age, who she was... she never remembered James, or at least his name. But she knew him... James was kept in his cell most of the time. He was only taken out for a beating... They didn't want to train him yet, not until he was at least 10. He knew basic fighting skills, for example he knew how to punch, kick, upper cut, and knee someone. But Bucky and Rose were more advanced in that area since they were the ones who went on missions. James still had nightmares though. Even though he thought that Hydra was "Normal" and "His home" he was still scared of it. That's when Rose came in, like I said earlier, she wouldn't always remember him, but she would know him regardless....

"Sunshine, you are my sunshine. You make me happy, when sky's are grey. You'll never know dear how much I love you..." Roses voice faded off as she had forgot the words to the beautiful song. But that didn't matter, James was already asleep.
James and Rose were kept in the same cell. Although Hydra wanted James to stop caring for his family doesn't mean that wanted Rose to do the same. That's how they got her to go through with her missions. When Rose didn't complete a mission, that's when they beat James...
Roses eyes glanced to the bruises on James face... She quickly looked away. Her stomach turned upside down as she was instantly filled with gilt "What did I do?" She whispered in horror. James roller over and cover his face with the torn, dirty blanket as the sun slowly crept into the cold cell. Rose stood up and walked over to the pile of clothes. They were mostly baggy T-shirts and shorts or suits for training and missions. Today was a special day though, it was James 5th birthday, aka the only day where they didn't have to train. Hydra let Rose spend the day with James on his birthday, they aren't completely heartless, but they are pretty damn close.
"Wake up, monkey!" Rose yelled as she got a different pair white baggy t-shirt on and some shorts. "Why?" James questioned with his tired squeaky voice. "Because if you don't I'll throw out all your toys" Rose jokingly said as she walked over to James and pulled him out of bed. "Hey!" James said with a laugh. "Shh" Rose whispered as she put her finger up to her lips. James did the same thing back.
"BREAKFAST!" The guard yelled as he slid two trays under the cold metal door.
James jumped back and hit the wall, "ow!" He cried out.
"You'll be fine" Rose said as she got up.
"Thanks!" Rose yelled to the guard as she brung over the "Food" to James. She always said please and thank you. Just because they're trapped in an evil organizations base doesn't mean she can't set a good example for her little brother.
"What's for breakfast?" James asked. "Bread and fruit" Rose paused, "Oh look, they brought you something" She said as she picked up a mini cupcake with her metal hand and gave it to James. "Is it safe?" He asked with a worried look on his face. "Let me check" Rose said with a smile as she took a tiny bite out of the cupcake. "Hey!" James said with a smile as he reached his hands out for the cupcake. Rose laughed and handed the cupcake over to him.

2 minutes later...

"Rose?" James asked as Rose head hung over the toilet as she threw up. "Is your tummy sick again?" James asked. Rose nodded as she threw up into the toilet again...

-night-

"Sunshine, you are my sunshine. You make me happy, when sky's are grey. You'll never know dear, how much I love you..." Rose paused as she tried to remember the words to the song, "shit" she whispered as she looked at her little brother... He was sleeping, as she hoped. She smiled at James as she grabbed an old blanket and curled up in the corner to go to sleep.

-morning-

"WAKE UP!" The guard yelled. Rose jumped into a fighting position while James jumped out of bed.
"Ms Barnes, you have a mission. Suit up" He said as he walked away.
She grabbed her suit and went into the bathroom to get ready. Once she got out James was awake, playing with a broken toy rocket.
"Will you remember me when you come back?" James asked, not looking up from his toy.
"I promise" Rose said as she waited by the cell door.
"Ok" He said, still not looking up from his toy.
Rose smiled as the guard opened the door and lead her out...
