9:45 A.M
I quickly gathered all of the equipment that might come in handy for the quickly approaching protest. "Tear gas, check... Mace, check.." I listed the items I've decided to take with me, making sure not to forget anything before taking my leave.
I'm not completely helpless in a fistfight, so I try not to rely on the defensive items I usually bring along with me. My family isn't aware that I plan to partake in a protest; they'd never let me go if they knew. They think I'm simply staying both the day and night at a friend's house. Considering their opinion on the matters that are happening all across the globe, I don't feel an inkling of regret for lying to them; they insist that the protests are a waste of time and energy. The last time I brought the subject up, they threw a fit claiming they only made the world worse than it already was.
I took my small bag with my belongings which was filled to the brim and headed out of the house, making my way to the area where the protest was scheduled to happen.
It didn't take long for me to arrive, and right on time. I looked around myself, there weren't too many people yet, but enough to relay a message to those in power.
The group I was with stood a block away from the local police department, waiting for those who seemed to be running a bit late. Nervousness overtook my chest, and I couldn't help but shake. Already, I felt adrenaline coursing through me, preparing me for what was to come. I looked around, realizing that most people had a strong look of determination displayed on their faces. I brushed off my worry and played a confident smile out on my lips, reminiscing in the feeling of unity.
As I continued looking around, I noticed the presence of a tall man; his entire face was covered. Like me, he was wearing a black mask covering the bottom half of his face, albeit he went even further to cover the rest of it. A hood was pulled over the top of his head, covering the rest of his features, making it impossible to distinguish his identity. Other than that, he looked seemingly normal; he was dressed in grey sweatpants and a black sweatshirt.
He must've noticed me watching him since he looked my way. When I assumed we met eyes, as I couldn't see his, he started walking further away from me, putting a considerable amount of distance between us. By the time he ceased his movement, the crowd noticeably grew, and I could no longer see him.
I didn't have time to wonder about this mysterious figure for much longer before someone who I assumed was in charge of the demonstration, began speaking. "Today, we gather here not to loot and start a riot, but to send out our message! Spoiling our cause by looting and breaking out in fights would ruin our cause." Cheers of agreeance rang out, causing those who were passing by to pick up their pace out of fear.
"Let's go!" More cheers erupted as we finally made our way to the entrance of the police department, making us all slightly afraid of what we had in store for ourselves.

THANK YOU FOR READING THE FIRST CHAPTER! I KNOW IT MAY SEEM A LITTLE BORING SO FAR BUT I HAVE A CLEAR IDEA OF WHAT I PLAN TO HAPPEN! THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL HAVE SOME MORE ACTION;)) BYEEEEE
Hi to anyone who may be reading! It's been around two years since I first published this story, and I was cringing so much reading one of the chapters. Soooo I decided to edit the whole story and maybe continue it afterward. Whether or not I continue writing depends on how interested I'll get. I may come back to this chapter later and further edit it, but I think it's not as bad as it was before. If you'd like to read a killuaxreader or a kurapikaxreader ff, I have two stories that are being actively updated. Thank you for reading! :)
