Though I've heard of the name "Anonymous" before, I decided to play dumb to find out a bit more than the vague details I do know.

"What the hell is anonymous? Some group or something?" I counter.

"Not exactly, love." He replies. I'm a little shocked he called me love, but I'm here for it.

"Anonymous isn't exactly a group or an organization. We are activists and hacktivists, who fight for justice and rights. We want equality all over, and to stop the corruption within the world."

I can feel him staring at me through his mask, waiting for my reply. Will I take it as a joke? Or maybe I'll take it seriously.

"Didn't you disappear at some point, and we all basically just forgot about you?" I press him for more information, at the same time I wonder why a hacktivist collaboration would decide to take me.

"You'll have your answers soon, in the meantime, let's head inside. You'll understand everything soon enough." The man turns, expecting me to and the other masked entities to follow.

He must be someone of high status in this little world of theirs.

A few minutes later

As we enter the building, I let out a small gasp, surprised at what I see in front of me.

From the outside you would think this place seemed like it stores boxes, but inside, the walls are painted with a coat of black, with a white molding in some rooms we walked past. The floor had very modern black and white tiles, placed in a pattern. But thise were only the hallways.

As we entered what seemed to be the main room, I immediately noticed a big, round table with chairs alongside it. Behind it, on the wall, was a huge screen, which seemed as big as a movie theatre's.

"Woah." I say, which seems to get my shock across. There is a slight echo in the empty room at the sound of our shoes.

"Sit down." Said the one who seemed important.

"Tell me your names first, I can't tell who's who." As I say this, the driver brushes past me, slightly grabbing my waist to turn me towards the chairs.

I slightly blush at that gesture, but brush it off straight away.

"Sit down and then we'll tell you our names."

I take a seat a few chairs away from the driver, who seems to be staring right at me, not taking his glare off of me once.

"Okay, I'm waiting." I say impatiently.

The important one sighs, and starts talking. "Once you know our names, you aren't allowed to leave. By us telling you our names, you are agreeing to stay here and work with us."

I take notice to how he said "With us" instead of "For us."

"Well then, explain to me, what exactly do you want me to do here? I'm not exactly a hacker.." I trail off.

"Well, you seem to be young, so if we wanted you to become a hacker, we still have time to teach you. But that isn't the reason you're here. The man sitting there, he told me you portrayed good composure and strength." He stops talking, letting me digest what he has said so far.

"With the ability to remain calm under various circumstances, and the ability to fend off any attackers, you would make an amazing bodyguard."

Guard. He wants me, to be a bodyguard.

"This must be some joke of yours, I clearly don't look like I could be a bodyguard, especially-" I start, but I am abruptly cut off.

"That's the point, the attackers would think nothing of you, letting their guard down, but if they try to attack anyone, you can easily take them down."

I ponder over this. I don't really have anything back home, my parents are divorced, so I live with my dad. But he's an alcoholic, so he doesn't pay attention to me, and he can be quite rough sometimes.

"I have one question." I start.

"Go on." The masked man replies.

"Would I be... Payed?"
