Days have passed since the day of that stupid party Eric threw. Evan has been on me on telling Nikki and Eric about us being engaged. But when the opportunity came up, I chickened out

Not the fact I was afraid to tell her. I just didn't want Nikki to think I was going to all of a sudden move out. Even though Evan has been bugging me to do that too.

But today is the day I will tell Nikki and Eric. It's family night. And I know there will be drinking involved. Not heavy drinking but alcohol will be a factor in this. Funny thing though. I had told Nikki already and she had a master plan set in place. I just had to go along with it.

Evan was sitting next to me with Maddox in his lap as we played drawing charades. It was my family vs Nikki family. Or as we named our teams. Pineapple vs Coconut.

"How could you not figure this out to be a monkey?!" Eric half shouted to Nikki.

"Because it don't look like one!" Nikki started giggling. "It looks like a makeshift banana shitting himself." She was now in hysteria as Eric grumbled away before sitting next to her.

Evan leaned over towards me whispering into my ear. "Think we should tell them now?"

"I don't know." I sighed. "I don't wanna ruin the good mood."

"Fine." Evan growled before pulling away from my ear. "Eric, Nikki, I got something I have to say to you two."

"Evan!" I grabbed his arm having him look at me.

"I'll say it if you won't."

"Say what?" Nikki questioned. "Oh my god, Amy are you pregnant?!"

I rolled my eyes before looking at her. "How the hell can I be pregnant if me and Evan haven't done anything yet."

"Well I don't know." She shrugged her shoulders. "You could have done it and just not have told me."

"She tells you and you her everything babe." Eric sighed. "I hate that you two over share on things."

"Why? Embarrassed doggy Eric?" I watched as his face started to blush with embarrassment. "Or the fact when it comes to pain with you. Pineapple becomes your new favorite word."

Nikki was now dying with laughter, along with Evan and me. The kids just looked at us not understanding what in the world we were talking about. Which I was grateful for that.

"Alright back to seriousness." Eric waved his hand around. "What is it you have to say man?"

Evan gave me a look. Letting me know its my last chance to say something before he spills the beans.

I squeezed his arm along with my eyes before letting the words flow out of my mouth like vomit. "Evan asked me to marry him a few weeks back and I said yes and I didn't say thing to you both till now because I was a chicken and I get if your mad at me Nikki. I'm sorry."

Silence.

I slowly peaked my eyes open looking directly at Nikki. Her eyes were narrowed in on Evan. Eric's were wide with surprise. "Eric, can you take the kids to the play room for a bit?" Nikki voice was monotone. And I knew something bad was going to happen.

"Sure. Come one kiddos." Eric grabbed Maddox and Leann hand before walking them out of the family room.

"Nikki I'm-"

"Amy stop." She turned her eyes on me. "I"m not mad at you. I'm very happy for you." She turned back to Evan. "I'm pissed at you though."

Evan was taken back. "Me? Why?"
