Los Angeles

2 hours and 47 minutes and a whole lot of games later, the car pulled up to a Marriott Beverly Hills hotel in Los Angeles. "We have arrived at our destination." Joon said, robotically, almost identical to the GPS.

"Finally," July sighed in relief.

She was annoyed by how many memes Violet quoted during the rest of the drive including, "Road work ahead? Yeah I sure hope it does," every time she saw a construction sign. July stretched out, "accidentally" hitting Violet. This resulted in a bruise on July's arm. July quickly jumped out of the car, away from Violet and toward the hotel, carrying only her small bag. Joon and Jacob groaned as they pulled out the heavy suitcases, no doubt carrying all of her makeup, earrings, and cute summer outfits. Oh, and the curler, straightener, and some more beauty shit.

July squealed and started jumping up and down with Palak as soon as Palak climbed out of the car, which caused Palak to almost buckle after the long drive, if Joon hadn't been there to catch her. July looked between them suspiciously for a second before grabbing Jacob's wrist instead and bounding toward the hotel. He looked back at the group for a second before sticking his tongue out and running with July. Violet stayed behind to wake up Ethan, as he looked almost like he was in a coma. When he woke up, he yawned and looked so cute and adorable in Violet's eyes, causing her to look away. The two took their stuff and followed the others inside.

When they reached the lobby, July's mouth dropped. It was extravagant, and she was glad Palak found such a good deal on it. Palak found so many coupons that the hotel stay was less than half the regular price. The floor was marble, and there was a large chandelier dangling from the ceiling. Soft jazz music played in the background. The lobby had a bunch of contemporary couches and chairs that usually only rich people sat in. Palak went to the front desk and checked in for everyone, while the group slumped in the lobby chairs.

"So.." Violet started and faced Joon, "you and Palak, aye?"

"Don't talk to me before you get that problem with you and Ethan fixed," Joon retorted.

"Huh? What problem?" Ethan questioned, tiredly and half-consciously. Palak finally came back and led them to the rooms.

"Alright so here's our issue at the moment. There's only 3 rooms at the moment and there's only one bed per room, because the boys came at the last minute. So either there's 2 girls and 2 boys in one room and then one pair, or 3 pairs."

"Let's draw sticks," Violet suggested, excitedly. "They have some by the coffee machine." She then ran off to go get them.

"I guess that's what we're doing then," said Palak. "I'll text her that we're in room 208,"

When Violet came back, she had already written each boy on a stick and placed them in a cup. The girls chose a stick and they all showed their person when the last stick was taken. Palak and Joon got put together.

"Oh, so you're the pair, huh," said Jacob with a smirk on his face. When July pinched him, he quickly shut up.

The next chosen pair was Ethan and Violet. Of course. Ethan was the same blushing mess as always, but surprisingly, there was a light shade of pink on Violet as well that only her close friends could tell was there. Palak and July silently snickered at that.

Finally, July and Jacob had to share a room together. This resulted in an annoyed expression on Joon's face, but after Palak told him to 'chill', it went away as if it wasn't there in the first place.

"Alright we have to go to bed now, it's almost 2 am," sighed Palak, like the motherly figure she was.

"Are you sure you don't just want alone time with Joon?" Violet asked with an innocent face, but her smugness could be heard clearly. Palak's face turned into the brightest shade of red anyone there had ever seen.
"I'm sleeping on the chair. You won't have to worry about that," She murmured. To that, Joon patted her back and whispered that he could sleep there instead.

"Oh yeah, clearly since you two are being so close," Violet said with sarcasm laced in her words. She turned to Ethan and said, "By the way, Ethan you can have the bed, I can just Ask for extra sheets to spread on the floor. It'll be just like Japanese Futons. I hope."

Ethan started to shake his hands, saying no, vigorously. "No it's fine! I can sleep on the floor, you don't have to!" he exclaimed.

"Whatever, you pussies. I'm sleeping on the bed and I'm not budging. Neither will July. We have a pure, friendly relationship." said Jacob, looking at July. She looked back at him with wide eyes, and then shrugged in agreement.

Violet snorted. "What's so pure about you? I do NOT see that word describing you out of all people." Palak and Joon made their exit, sensing a fight about to start. They decided to leave and get some sleep before the scene unfolded any further.

"I'm out of here, Palak and I are going to 209. Whoever is here last can get this one," said Joon, grabbing the card from the floor. Jacob tried to argue with them, but by then Palak and Joon were already out.

"Welp, good night you two," Violet sang as she gracefully exited the room. Ethan followed behind her to room 210.

"Guess we're stuck here," said July, "I'm checking in for today."

"I'm hella tired too," said Jacob, rolling onto the bed.
