even though jiwoo had tolled sooyoung she wouldn't hate her as much, the girl never spoke to her when she was around. whether they'd pass by each other when shopping, or simply ask to meet up. but no matter how many times sooyoung was ignored by jiwoo, she still got butterflies in her stomach everytime she saw her. since day one of knowing her, her stomach would feel light, and she'd blush over jiwoo when she got home. could it be love? there was no point though, she'd be turned down if deciding on asking jiwoo on a date, she didn't even know if it was love she was feeling. or if it was just the feeling of crippling nervousness that jiwoo actually left because of her.
—————
sooyoung was taking a stroll down town, near all the food shops, she was alone this time. jinsoul was busy and she hadn't been on good terms with hyejoo after the whole rumour-video incident. as for chaewon, she only saw her for important things, like school work or helping for a friends birthday. they were never that close anyways. on days when her friends were all busy she'd usually ask jiwoo to hang out, but with no hope that she'd answer, obviously. but now she had stopped asking, she figured she'd become too annoying to the point jiwoo couldn't be asked to even read her messages. the weather was still cold, and today the streets were covered with thick, white snow. sooyoung was wearing a long thin but warm coat, with black boots and slightly ripped jeans. she felt oddly unique. even though the streets were packed with snow, she still saw girls bare legged with skirts and nothing but jumpers on. she got that people wanted to seem fashionable, but wasn't it too cold for stuff like that? sooyoung was never really out alone unless it was to relieve stress, so she never had the time to notice every little detail of the outside. she'd either concentrate on her friends, or her feelings. although it was calming, finally being able to see what life was really like, it felt gloomy. people wasted their time on looking good for what? shops seemed way to expensive, even for a bottle of water. people were so rude, nudging and barging to get where and what they want. she much rather preferred to be distracted right now. she delicately brushed snow of a wooden bench near the coffee shop, sitting down on it and taking her scarf out of her bag. she wrapped it around her neck and tied it. she closed her eyes for a second. she took deep breaths in and out. she made the realisation that she was really
alive. that this was what was happening. she was deep into thought when she heard giggles coming from across the road. her eyes opened,
little bits of snow making their way in between her long, black eyelashes. it wasn't who she expected it to be. she thought it would be someone random person, or perhaps a little girl. that's what the laugh sounded like. but the laugh was familiar, it put a smile on her face that reached ear to ear. the laugh came from, of course, jiwoo. jiwoo was pointing to a jumper in the window whilst the girl next to her just smiled and nodded. they must be close friends, although, sooyoung couldn't really see who it was. she decided to take a few steps closer, when she saw it was the girl who took orders in the café "café del luna" what was her name again? oh yeah, jungeun. she watched as the two girls entered the shop and made their way other to the numerous copies of the jumper they could see through the window. sooyoung's feet led the way, she didn't even know what she was doing, but she entered the shop to follow jiwoo. she pretended to be a customer walking around to find some clothes, although this shop didn't really sell anything in her style. the things there were pastel or light cream colours, with cute shoes and accessories. sooyoung usually wore jeans, she had never really wore skirts or cute light jumpers with clips. but she could see why jiwoo liked this style, it really fits her. sooyoung made her way over to the section where jungeun and jiwoo were. she seemed bold to be going that close up. she picked up a few clothes, to her surprise there were some things that she liked. but, she accidentally knocked into jungeun, making her fall over and drop the clothes in her hands. she quickly picked the things up and leant a hand to help the girl up. but the girl still on the floor refused. she forcefully took her things out of sooyoung's hands and stared at her. jiwoo was still over in the corner choosing coloured clips that matched her newly picked out fit. jungeun went over to her and tapped her on the shoulder. sooyoung stood a good 2 metres away from them and stared in confusion. jungeun whispered something into jiwoos ear, and she immediately turned around. her smile fading to see the tall girl standing in front of her. it sure was awkward, and not at all how sooyoung planned this whole thing to go. there was tension in the air, the 3 girls could feel it. she just bowed to them and smiled, perhaps it would feel less uncomfortable. but jiwoo shot her a look, and turned around to go pay and leave. jungeun followed after her, taking last glances at the tall girl. she didn't know what just happened. did jiwoo still hate her that much? we're those words she rolled her at the café just to shut her up? they surely were. her heart felt like it had broken. yes it must've been love. although she never knew. she thought she always saw jiwoo as a little sister. sooyoung placed her hand on her chest. "why does it hurt so much.." she said to herself, in the lowest tone possible. her voice sounded weak. it wasn't even like jiwoo did anything bad to make her feel pain this much, but somehow she felt like she was heartbroken. coming back to her senses she put back the clothes she had picked up and exited the shop. the snow became heavier as she stepped outside. she didn't feel that cold before, but now the weather sent shivers down her spine. or maybe it was just the fact she was now in literal tears. the salty liquid covered her face, her cheeks were red and her eyelashes were drenched. even she, had no idea why she was crying so much. but every part of her felt the heart ache.—————
jiwoo didn't know why she did that. sooyoung just felt unforgivable to her. although the girl didn't do anything wrong, she had this sense of hate towards her. maybe it was because she carried on with her life and forgot about her, seeing her again just angered her. or maybe it's because she felt unprotected by sooyoung, when she never even told her she'd protect her from anything. even though she had hurt sooyoung, she felt proud. she felt a sense of pride. maybe it was just her attitude, people can go through massive changes. maybe being around people had an influence on her. but she felt more then happy. maybe sooyoung was the problem and not hyejoo. sooyoung has always seemed like an obstacle to her since the day she wrote about the older girl. the time she ripped up the notes her heart seemed to not ache, she felt relieved as though she had gotten rid of something that was bothering her for ages, for example, imagine a pesky fly in your room that doesn't go away. after all her thinking. she realised sooyoung was the problem. if she didn't come to jiwoo nothing bad would happen, she'd be able to continue with her life at that school, she could've made friends when she found the courage. this is why she felt a burning passion of hate towards the dark haired girl. this is why every time they crossed paths she would send unfriendly stares her way. at last she felt happy. she felt like she could really smile. the thing that bothered her most was removed from her life.
she grabbed jungeun's arm, receiving a look from the other girl. one you'd describe as "what are you doing?" she just smiled at her and began to run forward whilst laughing. jungeun just smiled, it was cute when she saw jiwoo like this, she also felt happy, that jiwoo was too. she joined jiwoo in running and giggling. jungeun was always there for jiwoo, unlike sooyoung. what a fake promise right? wrong.
jiwoo's story seems to be happy, she has everything she's ever wanted. friends. a loving family, people to help her.
for some it's not the same. sooyoung feels hurt more then ever. possibly even more then jiwoos pain. heartbreak can hurt more sometimes.
not every story has a happy ending
so this is the end....
or is it?
