a couple months went by, the flowers started to bloom, resembling a new day. a new year. a new time. when the bad turns into good, and you stop hurting. when a smile finally spreads across your face, and you can feel the warmth of the ones you have always and ever loved. you are forever and always happy, even when you cry. the one you have always supported, will soon come to know you. the truth, who you really are. and they will love you unconditionally.
the cherry blossoms on the trees grow pinker every day, whilst they fall to the ground and girls and boys walk over them, but they still remain their shape. perhaps that is an example of people. we can hurt the most or least, but at the end of the day when the sun sets, we are still who we are. but who are we really? things to comfort others, or things to become successful. whatever we are, there is always one person that we'd always want to know and remember. and tell them, "i'll be here."

sooyoung embraced the fresh breeze against her skin, time for college. a break free moment, a time when she will try her hardest in school. nothing ever mattered until now. she wanted her dream job and she was determined to get it. this was a new moment for her, she could prove to others she was more then a pretty face, or one who didn't deserve glances and glares. her bare arms shivered with the new spring wind, but it was a nice feeling. it comforted her on her new arrival to college. for all she knew, her only friend who would be joining this school was jinsoul. jinsoul had always been a loyal friend to her, one who had her back everytime. so she was more then glad she was the only friend joining her.
sooyoung was pretty sure she was known by quite a few of her fellow freshman, as she received sweet smiles from them and some shy waves. perhaps they were a little scared of her, but she had become a new person. her style had even somewhat changed. she was dressed in a purple turtle neck jumper, with a creamy white skirt and black boots. she had a black beret over the top of her hair and a small white strap bag wrapped around her shoulder. new year, new her, new style. she was quick to be joined by jinsoul, who swung her her arm around her neck and shot a smile at the tall girl once she looked over to her. they entered the gates. this felt nice to sooyoung, as if all her troubles had finally gone away.
giggling and gossiping, sooyoung and jinsoul were walking down a corridor to find their lockers and new classes, they each looked at their schedule full of information that also included where their private storage rooms were located. sooyoung frowned at jinsouls paper when she noticed that her locker was a bit more further down from hers. she pouted at jinsoul, receiving a laugh. she was really new person, wasn't she. "it's alright" jinsoul reassured her, lightly patting her on the back. "we've got practically the same classes, our lockers won't make a difference!" sooyoung smiled at her response and nodded. they packed some things they didn't need away and made their way over to their first class.

it was lunch time at jiwoos new college. although she was able to make a few conversations with people in her classes, at the end of the day, she was still that lonely girl she always was. the one who had trouble socialising and making friends. the one who didn't fit in and would always go unnoticed. jungeun had joined the same college, but she was still out in china to visit her childhood friend, vivi, who was currently in the hospital from developing a few injuries and a cold from work. so jiwoo sat at her lunch table alone, there were many. the canteen was full of fresh new people and ones who had actually managed to make friends. she picked with her food at twiddled with her thumbs. it was awkward, she was the only one sitting alone, but this time it felt different from high school. people actually did notice her.
a few more classes came in to get their lunch, and no one had sat by jiwoo, not even the ones she had managed to make small talk with. they obviously made much more dependent friends already. she was beginning to lose hope at this, but after all she's be used to it by now. that was until she heard a tray smack down onto the table in front of her. she looked up to see the one and only ha sooyoung sending her a smile. even though when they saw each other sometimes, and jiwoo would treat her like she was the worst person in the world with her glares and eye rolls, sooyoung still smiled at her. it shocked her, but this time she didn't do anything, instead she smiled. her eyes tearing up. she faced a hard time for the most of high school, and since the morning she could see college was heading in that direction. people already snickered and her and stared because she wasn't talking or with anyone. there was a silence until sooyoung reached out her hand. it reminded of her when she left sooyoung, a day she tried hard to forget, but could never. was it a symbol of reconnection? jiwoo placed her hand in the older girls, letting her take full control of her in that very moment. "jiwoo" sooyoung said, gaining the girls full attention. "i'll be here."
