I know Sophie is adapting ridiculously quick, but I don't really want to rewrite everything, so just put it off as fanfic magic...:) and if I haven't mentioned it, Sophie is a decent fighter from her time spent in the wilderness/Black Swan.
Sophie looked into the mirror, nervous. Fitz was supposed to pick her up in ten minutes and she wasn't excited. It had been a few weeks since he had "asked" her to go out and he had finally texted the day before telling her when to be ready. She had taken advantage of the last few weeks to adjust to everything and learn as much as she could about the human world.
Knock knock
"Who is it?" Sophie called, unsure if it was Fitz because it was only 6:50.
"Uh me?" Fitz responded, striding in. "Why? Were you expecting someone else?"
"No," she whispered. "I'm almost ready, just-"
"You're not ready?! Why aren't you ready?" Fitz questioned harshly.
"Oh, um, I-I," Sophie spluttered. "You're-well, you're ten minutes early."
"Oh so now it's my fault?" He spat.
"Um yes. You texted and I quote- 'I'll pick you up at seven'. So yeah. It's 6:51 and I still have nine minutes to get ready, so take your annoyingly perfect ass and get in the damn car because I promised you one date, and I keep my promises."
Fitz looked taken aback by her outburst. "Fine," he glowered and stalked out the door.
Sophie turned back to the mirror and took a deep breath, partially to calm herself, partially to keep from kicking Fitz's ass. "One date," she whispered.
Five minutes later she strode out of the building to find Fitz glowering in the driver seat. She knocked lightly on the window. "I'm ready now."
"Uh yeah. No freaking duh." Fitz rolled his eyes and unlocked the car.
"Where are we going?" Sophie asked politely, wanting the evening to be as smooth as possible.
"Only the nicest restaurant on the island," Fitz said proudly. "It's called The Narrative, and only the most prestigious can get a table there and..." he rambled on.
He really is egotistical.
"We're here."

Sophie stared up at the dorm building, soaking wet. The date had been a disaster, and by the end of it, she was so irritated that she walked home in a total downpour.
While she summoned the courage to walk inside and face her dorm mates, she replayed the evening in her mind.
Fitz had acted like a perfectly kind gentleman until the escort left them alone at the table. Fitz had immediately rattled off every single one of his achievements, from walking at 9 months to getting the only B in his Civics class-they weren't even impressive things.
Then when Sophie has tried to go to the bathroom, he grabbed her arm and roughly pulled her back, saying she needed to stay or "Other ladies will try to hit on me." She had told him to shove it up his ass and had gone to the bathroom anyway.
The evening only went downhill from there. Every time Sophie tried to talk he cut her off, and he didn't let her order what she wanted. In Sophie's opinion, Fitz was lucky she stayed until dessert.
By the time she was done thinking, Fitz had turned the corner and was driving up to park. Sophie immediately ran inside and got to her dorm in record time. She stripped down and jumped in the shower, not even noticing how frigid it was.
Once she finished, she changed into a fluffy bathrobe Edaline had purchased, and promptly passed out on her bed, totally unaware of the fact that Linh and Biana were nowhere to be found.
Sorry it's short, I wanted to update because I was asked when so I thought Today? Hopefully I'll be able to publish another one tomorrow. Though I have two hours of soccer in the morning and three hours of tennis in the afternoon...anyway, bye!
QOTD: How do you think Sophie will react to the ending of 8.5?
