....
Everything seemed fine. Until the afternoon, when Oliver had to bring up a box of his and his twin's clothes to their Anglerfish closet. He didn't think anything of it, so he opened his closet and grabbed a few hangers for shirts suits that needed to be hung. Until an unsettling chill ran down the back of his neck as he was bending down to grab a shirt. Making him shiver as his teeth slightly chattered.
"Ch-chilly.." he stutters. Suddenly, Oliver heard the sounds of something swishing. "Hm?" Then glanced up from the half hung shirt and looked to his darkened closet. His dark green eyes widened with fear and disbelief as he stared at the swishing, wriggling white outline of the Anglerfish of his closet wall. It's large jaws full of predatory and long jagged teeth opened and closed slowly as if it was trying to breath, and the lure glowed a soft lavender hue. Oliver immediately dropped the shirt he tried to hang and slammed the closet shut, Taking the chance to bolt to the door before the mysterious phantom showed any more signs of it's presents. But as the younger twin tried to pry the door open, it seemed jammed in place. Locking him in with the knowledge that he's not alone.
"Oscar!!" He cried out, hoping his older twin heard him and was on his way. Until the sound of water gathered his attention back to the closet. Where water dribbled from underneath the closet door and the repeated thump of something rammed into it from the otherside. Causing the rising anxiety in Oliver's chest to weigh him down and make him feel sick and shaky to the knees. So he quickly turned back to the closed door and banged his fist on it.
"OSCAR!! Oscar open the door! Please!" he cried out louder. As a lavender light dimly shone behind him and the ramming sound seemed to stop. Making Oliver freeze.
Meanwhile, from down stairs Oscar heard his twin's cry for help.
"Oliver?" He called out. Making Colby and Ellie look at him worried. The only response he got was Oliver screaming, followed by an echoed call similar to a whale from upstairs.
"It's the same sound the jellyfish thing made last night!" Colby said, panicked.
"Oh no.." Ellie muttered.
"Oliver!" Oscar yelled, running upstairs to his and his brother's room with Ellie and Colby following close after him. When he made it to the door, Oscar didn't stop to think. So he threw all his weight on it, slamming it open as he saw his twin crouched down in a fetal position, shaking violently. While the white Anglerfish floated towards him. Its lures a glowing red hue. Until it turned to the door and let out a hissing noise, quickly changing its lure to a light blue shade before seemingly swimming away, back through the closet with a slam of the door. The shock racked through everyone as the room around them began to warm up.
"Oliver!" Oscar yelled out, running to his terribly frightened twin.
"O-oscar.. It was h-horrible.." Oliver stuttered, burying his face into his brother's shoulder as the elder twin rubbed his back in comfort. Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
That was until Colby glanced over to Ellie, about to say something, until his face morphed into an expression of horror.
"Ellie behind you!!" He screamed. Making her whip her head around just to see the Jellyfish creature use its oral arms to wrap around her head as a frigid cold shock-like stinging sensation stung her head.
"Ellie!!" They all cried out, but it was mumbled and fading away. Ellie fell sideways, watching dizzily as her world slowly drew into darkness, and the last thing she saw was her best friends being cornered by floating objects as they were backed to the wall.
"Why is it doing this?" She thought to herself, falling into slumber.
"Beautiful ocean.. It hurts.. Go away.. not safe anymore.. It's your fault" A child's sad voice rang out.
