....
Ellie's eyes burned from the sunlight that hit them as she found herself waking up cold and feeling weightless.
"Where am I? Who was that?" she asked herself. Rubbing her blue eyes, noticing her glasses were gone, and opened them. Only to see that she was surrounded by a vast ocean, floating upside down aimlessly.
She screamed in shock, making her fail and lose control as she spiraled backwards through the ocean saltwater into a rough edged wall.
"Ow.." she muttered in slight pain. "Wait.. How the hell am I breathing right now?" Ellie asked herself, glancing at her hands before looking back and noticing that the rough edged wall. Actually a massive foundation of rock and coral with little fish of various colors swimming about.
"Woah.." Ellie gaped in awe. Suddenly, she heard some rubble being shifted from the bedrock beside her. So she took a glance and yelped with fear as a yellow moray eel with wide fish eyes stared at her while its sharp toothed jaws gaped open for a bite. Making a shiver run down her spine. Propelling herself away from the moray eel out of shock. The eel seemed bored of Ellie quickly and wiggled its long body out of its bedrock hiding hole and slither head first into a new one.
"Goodbye to you too.. Apparently" She muttered, then started swimming in a random direction, hoping something will guide her back home.
After a while of swimming, Ellie came upon an open sandy field.
"Talk about barren and plain." She murmured, looking around for anything besides open water and the patterns of sunlight from above. Until a soft blue glow caught her attention from the corner of her eye. "Hm?'' She twisted her body to look at where the glow came from and spotted the familiar glowing jellyfish that had been terrorizing Ellie and her friends since they moved in two days ago.
"It's you again." She says surprised, watching the creature glide across the empty sand plain.
Suddenly, the massive jellyfish floated down, seemingly disappearing behind a ledge. Curious, Ellie followed it, hoping to find answers. Only to find a drop off, leading down into what appeared to be a shipwreck. The shipwreck itself made Ellie's spine tingle with goosebumps with an added chill of anxiety, but that alone wasn't the issue. The whole area was littered with underwater mines, stuck to the ocean floor by sturdy chains as they wavered about like huge iron balloons in a gentle breeze, just itching to pop.
"Oh dear god.. "She breathed out, shaking at the thought of even one of the mines blowing up, causing a chain reaction. "Why the hell am I here? These things could kill me.."She whined. Until, she again spotted the Jellyfish weaving through the mines into the shipwreck below. As if it had done this over a million times.
Ellie let out a long exasperated sigh, "Looks like I have no choice if I want to get answers or get out of this messed up place.." Then pushed herself off the ledge and swam downwards, hoping to swim beneath the mines as they floated above her. "So far, so good.. Just a little further.." Ellie encouraged herself, hoping that back home Colby and the twins were handling things of their own.
"Just wait a little longer guys.."
Soon, the blue eyed brunette managed to get to a giant hole in the ship, letting out a well needed cheer. Then something gently poked her back so she glanced behind her to see what it was. Only to see a mine laying on the sandy bottom. Ellie squealed in shock and slowly, shakily backed away from it. "Holy moly.. That scared the hell outta me! Sunken mine or not, it still has a chance of blowing up" She shakily spoke. "And I'm sure talking to myself alot. Yeah, totally not slowly losing my mind here" She nervously laughed.
"Go away.."
Ellie jumped, yelping in surprise. Then turned to the sudden voice, only to see a little girl with short white hair with light blue highlights peeking at her from around the corner. Staring at her with lifeless icy blue eyes. Making Ellie suddenly feel uneasy and uncertain.
"You're only swimming deeper down a depth you shouldn't swim." She warned, even if she was a little girl, her words spoke venom and sternness. Then she disappeared around the corner. Ellie shook off her uneasiness and quickly swam after the young one.
"HEY!! Wait up!" Ellie called out to her. But the little girl didn't stop. Turns after turns, lefts and rights. Ellie finally reached a ballroom looking area of the ship. In the center of the ballroom was a single white door covered with baby blue flowers . Ellie swam towards the door and placed a gentle hand on it.
"This is.. the basement door?"
"I told you!" cried the little girl's voice. Ellie turned to face her again, finally seeing her whole body as she was barefoot, wearing a wavy white sundress decorated with many long strings of colored beads that swayed with the movement of the water. "You shouldn't be going places you shouldn't!! This is MY beautiful ocean!" Her voice echoed out, making the entire shipwreck shake and shutter. Ellie fell to her knees from the sudden tremor and stared at the little girl with horror. "You can't be here!!" She screamed, as a cloud of sea foam wrapped around her small body and a blue glow emitted from it. Ellie shakily stood up, suddenly being able to walk normally, and gripped the door's door knob for balance.
"Oh crap!" she exclaimed, jiggling and pulling on the door knob, hoping to pry it open. "Open up dangit!" Soon, the sea foam around the girl disappeared and in her place was the jellyfish shaped creature, glowing the same hue of red from times before. Letting out a banshee's cry before propelling towards Ellie with great speed.
Finally, Ellie opened the basement door and was about to run though, when a horrible rumble shook anything again. This time coming from all around as the mines around the ship blew up one at a time and gradually gained speed just as Ellie slammed the door shut.
Darkness enveloping her into a touchless embrace once again.
