Chapter 13: Days off with Lin

When the next day rolls around, I'm awoken by coffee being made and Kevin licking my face, which means that Alex put him in my room before he left this morning. That's when it all comes back to me that I'm going to be watched by the creator of 'In The Heights' and 'Hamilton' and lord help me. Once I'm fully awake I start to get ready for the day I decide to wear a white loose tank top, my black high waisted shorts, a maroon flannel and my harry potter vans, after this I finally decide to make my way out of my room, when I noticed a note. When I looked at it and saw it was from Alex, he told me to have a great day and not to be so shy around Lin, which will be harder said than done, and in the note it explained that he had told Lin about my past so if anything happens he knows how to handle it. Part of me wishes he didn't tell him about my past, but I can see why he did it, since I wouldn't have said anything to him and it could've been really awkward. Finally making it out of my door I see Lin on the couch drinking coffee and watching the news, keeping my head down I make it to the kitchen to start breakfast, when he spoke up

"Hey sleepy head, you're finally awake! I would've had something cooked for breakfast, but I didn't know what you liked." Lin says making his way towards the kitchen,

"Oh.. um.. I normally cook breakfast, I can make some chorizo breakfast tacos, if you want?" I say shyly as I'm grabbing everything from the fridge

"Wait you don't have to cook, I can help if you want?" Lin says, moving around the island and near me, which makes me feel uncomfortable, because one I'm not used to anyone offering to help me cook. 

"No you don't have to help, I can do it, if you don't mind me asking what will be doing today?" still not looking at him and continuing cooking.

"Well my wife, Venessa has to go into work today, so we will probably hang out at my place with my kids, nothing too exciting."

"Oh, should I make your family some tacos as well? We could take them over for breakfast, if you're ok with that?" I kinda look up at him, I can see him observing me and it makes me wonder what he was thinking of.

"You don't have to-"

"Please let me, it's the least I could do, even though I'm old enough to watch myself, dad still asked you to watch me." I'm fully looking him in the eye now, and I can see him smile a little, and he replies

"Alright, but you have to let me help you." I see him smirk at me, glaring right back him, I huff and give in

"Fine, you can slice up the avocado for whoever likes it, I like avocado on mine, but I don't know about your family. You can also whenever I'm done cooking this, you can put the salsa on them, we have red and green, surprise me on mine. Then once they're done, we can wrap them up and head over to your place." I say speaking quickly, finishing cooking the chorizo and southern hash browns, then pouring in the egg mixture. I look up at him and watch him cut the avocado up, I stare at him for a bit, until he looks over at me, making me look back at my taco mixture. Once that is done, I put the mixture on the corn tortillas. Then Lin puts the avocado on and the salsa, whenever he's done with that he wraps them up and puts them in a bag.

"Alright kid, let's go to my place, my wife is very excited to meet you." He says holding out his arm for me to take, but I just stare at it, not knowing what to do

"Ok, never mind then, let's head out."

As we walk over to his apartment, I keep quiet, not really knowing what to say to him, I know he won't hurt me, but I don't do well around new people, especially males. I stare hard at my shoes lost in my thoughts until I'm pulled from them,

"You know I think by the way you're looking at your shoes you wish you had the invisibility cloak, am I right?" I feel a nudge on my shoulder, and I look at him and just shrug
